DANGER! fans rallied in support of a contestant they felt received particularly unfair treatment on Tuesday night.
Anna Poane was in first place until a storm of sudden score changes resulted in what some considered the most “insane” episode yet.

Midway through the July 9 episode, Ken Jennings dramatically interrupted the game to make four corrections.
Ken, 50, informed contestants Anna, Kathy Davis and Isaac Hirsch that the judges had reversed several answers.
Due to these last-minute changes, Isaac’s earnings jumped from $8,600 to $15,000, while Kathy’s earnings dropped from $600 to $200.
However, many fans sympathized with Anna, whose score remained at $9,000 but saw her confident lead disappear, placing her a distant second.
She struggled afterwards, barely making it in, and lost to Isaac, who secured his fifth win, totaling $120,186.
‘THE GAME TURNED FOR HER’
In a Reddit gaming thread, Jeopardy! fans argued that the walkout confused Anna and asked the producers to invite her back.
“Anna is as deserving of a second chance as I remember. She thought she was playing with an advantage and the judges completely turned the tables on her. “, wrote one user.
Another fan joked, imitating host Ken: “‘We have a few clues left, but first we have to implement a seven thousand dollar change to the scores. Don’t let this affect your gameplay or overall outlook on life.'”
“The score change was too late and had too much impact. I’m upset,” wrote a third.
“Ideally, they should have stopped earlier and re-filmed the clue/response exchanges as they happened, as they sometimes do, instead of aggregating them like this. It was still difficult to witness, especially for Anna,” wrote a fourth.
One more agreed: “She probably thought ‘what the fuck’ after that huge murderous impulse and just wanted to go to the morning buffet in El Segundo.”
Another X user wrote, “I don’t know who needs to hear this, but tonight’s episode of #Jeopardy was a mess and Anna should be invited back.”
Other fans pointed out that Isaac was the only correct one in Final Jeopardy, and Anna bet badly by not going all in, which was her only chance of winning.
Yet another fan argued, “I think she was in shock from the punctuation corrections. Her face was red and she looked visibly nervous to me. I know how I would have felt.”
Danger! Host timeline
Danger! has had a tumultuous history regarding hosts following the death of the iconic Alex Trebek in 2020. Here are every host since the game show’s inception in 1964.

Guest Hosts – 2020 to 2021, Jeopardy! tested a series of guest hosts for one- or two-week stints, including Anderson Cooper, LaVar Burton and Aaron Rodgers.
Mike Richards – 2021, he was named host for a week before resigning amid controversy. He was the show’s executive producer at the time.
Mayim Bialik – 2021 to 2023, when Mike was announced as the show’s new host, Mayim was chosen to host tournaments and primetime specials.

CORRECTION CHAOS
The cascade of fixes occurred when Isaac landed on the game’s final Daily Double. Suddenly, Ken interrupted him in his betting.
Addressing the players, Ken said: “I need to update the scores a bit because our judges have notified me of some changes.
“Kathy, when you corrected your answer from ‘corroborates’ to ‘corroborates,’ that was no longer an 11-letter word. We need to get the second answer. So you’re out $1,600 there.
“Isaac, the good news is we decided we can accept ‘charcoal grilled’ instead of ‘charcoal grilled,’ so you get $2,400 back.
“In this case, Kathy would never have guessed ‘roasted,’ so she gets $1,200 back.
“And finally, last but not least, there is something called the magic triangle. Turns out that’s a $4,000 balance for you, Isaac.

Viewers were surprised by the sheer volume of reversals, especially since they occurred all at once, and took to social media, stunned by the event.
“That was an insane reversal. The whole game felt very chaotic,” wrote one Reddit user.
On X, another fan said, “That Jeopardy four point fix race was wild. How did the judges miss so many answers? I’ve never seen anything like it!”
Another posted: “These score changes were wild on Jeopardy tonight. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a shot that big before.”
In Final Jeopardy, Isaac had $19,400, Anna had $9,800, and Kathy had $3,800. The defending champion was the only correct player in the final, finishing with $19,601.
IN-KEN-SISTENT?
Meanwhile, now sole presenter Ken made headlines for a highly contested decision last week.
The presenter infuriated viewers after refusing to accept an answer because it had been pluralised.
He submitted a $2,000 clue from the “Waterfalls” category, asking, “Yosemite’s waterfall with a thin ribbon of water that floats in the air like a diaphanous cloth is named after this marital outfit.”
At the time, Kelly Prioux responded: “What is Bridalveil Falls?”
Ken refused to accept the answer because the player added an “s” to the word “fall”.
He explained, “No, I’m sorry. It’s actually ‘Bridalveil Fall,’ so we couldn’t accept it. It’s, ‘What is Bridalveil?'”
Although many argued that the decision was technically fair, even Ken admitted to the players after the game that it was a “very tough decision”.
Just two games earlier, the judges accepted the incorrect pronunciation of larynx as lar-nyx, which already upset spectators.
Isaac will look for his sixth win on Wednesday’s episode at 7pm ET on ABC.
