On Thursday’s episode, the Hotard family had 66 points and the Pugh family had 64 points at the end of the first commercial break.

When the camera turned to the Pugh family, only four team members were seen at their locations.

That’s because the elderly member of the team, Carolyn, was coming out from behind the desk.

She stopped at the end of the table when she noticed Steve, 67, looking at her.

Steve stopped the commercial ending and pushed her back to her seat silently while looking at the floor.

Carolyn returned while Steve just looked at the audience in confusion.

She didn’t return to her seat immediately and instead hid behind two of her teammates, Nafar and Cheri.

The audience roared with laughter as Carolyn returned to her seat.

“Do not go away!” Steve said as he glanced sideways at Carolyn.

“Stay right there.”

PLEASE Family Feud fans ‘break down on the floor’ at contestant’s baffling musical instrument response, ask ‘how-‘

Steve was talking to the audience watching at home as the show went to commercial break, but was subtly hinting at his feelings towards Carolyn.

The Family Feud host and player laughed as the show slowed down and went to a commercial.

PLEASE ROUND THE DRUMS

This wasn’t the first time this week that Steve was confused.

On July 9, a contestant confused fans by giving a shocking answer about drums.

“Name a musical instrument that people strum,” the question said.

Contestant Melanie responded: “A drum.”

Steve looked confused as he repeated the answer to see if it was on the board.

The answer was not on the board and Melanie received a big “X”.

‘I MUST HAVE MISSED THIS’

Family Feud fans mocked Melanie’s response after the game show shared the clip on Youtube.

“Playing the drums? Um, I must have missed that day in music class,” Connor Miller wrote.

“I’m a former percussionist and I don’t remember strumming the drums. Haha”, commented Michael F. Bender.

“When that person said ‘drums,’ I almost fell to the floor,” laughed Mark Garner.

“I have to strum my drums, haha. I think people should go back to the dictionary and look up what strumming means,” wrote Patrick Martin.
