MAGGIE Sajak, 29, fans praised her for inheriting her father’s humor when the Wheel of Fortune star told a funny joke about her dad during the show’s break.

Her famous father, Pat Sajak, 77, retired as host of the famous game show in June 2024 after a 41-year run.

The 29-year-old showed off her humorous side in an Instagram post on Sunday.

Maggie posed in a floral dress and sandals while sitting on a wooden swing.

She captioned it Photograph with a classic dad joke saying, “My opinion on swings? Honestly, I go back and forth.”

Fans quickly rushed to her comments section to praise her for “inheriting her father’s humor.”

“You inherited that humor from your father!” wrote one Instagram user.

“Thank you Pat Jr! Perfect and so beautiful!!” said another.

“Your sense of humor is so good!” wrote a third.

Her post isn’t the first time Maggie has been compared to her beloved father.

On Father’s Day this year, Maggie posted a photo alongside Pat as they prepared for an interview.

The show’s social correspondent captioned the post: “’She’s just like her dad.’ What a compliment. Happy Father’s Day!”

Maggie Sajak Reveals Chaotic Glimpse of Wheel of Fortune Set Cleaning Up as Fans Predict She Will Replace Vanna

THE NEW WHITE VANNA?

Following the news that Pat Sajak would be retiring, Wheel of Fortune fans have been expressing their desire for Maggie to take over the role of Vanna White when she retires.

“You should definitely take Vanna’s place when she inevitably leaves,” one social media user wrote in March after sharing a photo alongside Pat and Vanna.

“She has classic features. I would like her to be the new presenter”, said another.

Although Maggie will continue as the show’s social correspondent, Vanna believes the 29-year-old would be an incredible replacement.

Wheel of Fortune Host Timeline

Although Pat and Vanna have been a fixture on the game show for decades, there have been other hosts

Chuck Woolery was the host from 1975 to 1981

He co-hosted alongside Susan Stafford (1975 to 1982)

Vanna White took over as host in 1982 and has been since then.

After a contract and salary dispute, the show got rid of Chuck and brought back Pat in 1982.

Pat hosted Susan for a season

He then left the game show in 1989 to host a late-night talk show for CBS.

For five months, NFL player Rolf Benirschke took his place

In July 1989, Bob Goen hosted the show on CBS

He hosted for a year and a half until the show was canceled in 1991

The show was then moved to ABC, with Pat and Vanna hosting for the foreseeable future.

In 2023, Pat announced his retirement and Ryan Seacrest was quickly named his replacement

Speaking with AND! in October last year, Vanna said: “She’s been involved in this her whole life, so I think she can replace me for sure.

“She is precious, she is beautiful, she is very good.

“I think she learned a lot from her father because he is a very good interviewer. I think she’s good for our program.”

PAT’S NEXT STEPS

Ahead of Pat Sajak’s departure from Wheel of Fortune, the 77-year-old sat down with his daughter for an exclusive interview about life after the show.

Pat revealed he is “looking forward to a simple life” while hinting he wants to be a grandfather.

“I’m perfectly happy if it just means I get to continue with my crossword puzzles and play with the grandkids. Hint, hint, hint,” said Pat.

Maggie let out a laugh before Pat said, “No pressure.”

Maggie is one of two children Pat shares with his wife, Lesly Brown.

Pat’s son Patrick is a doctor and currently has no children.

Since Pat Sajak announced his retirement, fans have been vocal about wanting Maggie as the show's new host.
