In Tuesday night’s game, fans saw Isaac make a math error during Final Jeopardy!

The fumble cost Isaac his nine-day streak against Erika Stromerson and Jay Fisher.

“I believe you are in third place for the first time in your race,” Ken Jennings said to Isaac.

As fans watched this loss, they took to Reddit to cheer on the champion with kind words as they were worried about how he would react to the loss.

“Isaac, Isaac, after that fabulous run on Jeopardy, I hope you’re not focusing on that betting mistake to the exclusion of celebrating your success!” wrote on the fan.

“You were AMAZING and you get to return for the Contest of Champions, so you should rejoice!”

Another said: “Isaac is a great competitor and wasn’t feeling well. On any other day the results would have been different.”

“Hey, don’t blame yourself, you’re still number 2 in the rankings. I look forward to seeing you at TOC,” said a third.

Despite his loss on the show, fans will get to see the California native compete on Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions.

ISAAC SPEAKS

After Isaac’s defeat, the game show champion took to Reddit to explain what really happened.

Danger! champ Isaac Hirsch jokes he’s the ‘weird kid’ in a raucous old stand-up clip as fans scream, ‘love him!’

“Okay, so why did I bet $14,000?” Isaac began his publish.

“The short answer is I did the math wrong.”

He explained his thought process on how he tried to solve the equation, saying he lost sleep after recording.

“I spent the weeks after recording watching bad math in my sleep. I remembered basically nothing about most of the games from last week, but EVERYTHING about this game.”

The reason for his “shut down” behavior was due to being “very, very tired.”

“This was bound to happen – I barely survived yesterday and I was very, very tired.”

He continued: “It’s been a fun experience watching these streams and I appreciate how nice people have been to me.

Danger! Universe

Danger! it first aired in 1964 until 1975. Then, the nighttime version began in 1974. Since then, spinoffs of the game show have appeared. Here are all those

Danger! – (primetime) 1974 to present, weekdays on ABC at 7 p.m.

Tournament of Champions – 1984 to present, features the top champions who have appeared on the show since the last tournament

Celebrity Danger! – From 1992 to the present, celebrities compete against each other to raise money for the chair

Danger! Masters – 2023 to present, features six notable recent Jeopardy! champions competing against each other

Danger! National College Championship – From 2022 to present, undergraduates from 36 colleges and universities across America compete to win $100,000

Other versions of Jeopardy! disappeared over the years

“I will have a lot to prove in the ToC; including that I can do basic arithmetic.”

Along with his confession, Isaac called out Jay, saying the contestant “absolutely murdered me at the bell.”

VET GAME SHOW

His defeat on Jeopardy! This isn’t the first time he’s been on a game show.

In 2023, Isaac won $140,000 on ABC’s The Chase.

Furthermore, in 2017, he appeared on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? taking home $5,000.

His love of game shows hits close to home.

During his first win, Isaac revealed that his father was once on Jeopardy! three decades ago.

“My dad was on Jeopardy! in the 80s and it was one of the first years Alex hosted, and he lost,” Isaac shared.

“I used to tease him about it as a kid. Like ‘I Lost On Jeopardy!’ by Weird Al, saying, ‘It’s about you, Dad!'”
