Ryan Seacrest shares a behind-the-scenes look at Wheel of Fortune with Vanna White – but fans are divided on the new hosting duo

RYAN Seacrest gave fans a peek into his day-to-day life as host of Wheel of Fortune with Vanna White in a new video.

The TV personality replaced Pat Sajak as host of the game show after his retirement, but fans aren’t too fond of him and Vanna together.

Ryan shared an Instagram clip of the duo on setand it looked like Vanna had put him to work.

It showed the American Idol host doing push-ups on stage and jokingly pulling an SUV, which was apparently a prize for the episode’s winner, by a rope as Vanna watched.

The video continued with Vanna shouting instructions to him through a megaphone while riding in a golf cart outside the studio while Ryan lunged alongside her.

COLLAGE IN THE ASSEMBLY

Ryan and Vanna then showed off their silly behind-the-scenes banter, with the new host trying to eat a meatball his co-star brought for lunch.

The former talk show host lifted the large, sauce-covered meatball to his mouth before saying, “I can’t do it” and handing the bowl back to Vanna.

In the end, the two shared a sweet moment as they marveled at the confetti falling from the ceiling and hugged each other.

The post, initially shared by Vanna, was captioned: “Getting in shape for the new season. Hosting is hard work but we did it!!”

Fans rushed to the comments to express their excitement over the new coupling.

“OMG! I’m so excited you’re going to be hosting now,” one person wrote.

“I love that Vanna is still on the show,” said another.

“You have it. You and Vanna already make a great team”, praised a third.

However, others didn’t believe in the match and didn’t think Ryan was ready for the challenge.

“No I can’t do that, I can’t watch it with Ryan,” one fan admitted.

Wheel of Fortune Host Timeline

Although Pat and Vanna have been a fixture on the game show for decades, there have been other hosts

Chuck Woolery was the host from 1975 to 1981

He co-hosted alongside Susan Stafford (1975 to 1982)

Vanna White took over as host in 1982 and has been since then.

After a contract and salary dispute, the show got rid of Chuck and brought back Pat in 1982.

Pat hosted Susan for a season

He then left the game show in 1989 to host a late-night talk show for CBS.

For five months, NFL player Rolf Benirschke took his place

In July 1989, Bob Goen hosted the show on CBS

He hosted for a year and a half until the show was canceled in 1991

The show was then moved to ABC, with Pat and Vanna hosting for the foreseeable future.

In 2023, Pat announced his retirement and Ryan Seacrest was quickly named his replacement

“I heard valuations are falling in the US,” predicted a second.

“I just don’t see this duo,” another person commented with several thumbs-down emojis.

“So sad that Ryan was the choice. But grateful that Vanna is still with us,” he confessed a fourth.

It was announced last May that Ryan would replace Pat following his retirement last June.

CONEXION PROBLEMS?

However, Pat — who co-hosted the show with Vanna for more than 40 years — maintains his role as host of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, which premieres on October 7.

Recent reports said that Ryan and Vanna struggled to find their groove as co-hosts and that the latter was strongly considering leaving Wheel of Fortune.

Viewers also suggested that Vanna be the show’s main host and give her position to someone other than Ryan.

Season 42 is scheduled to premiere in September.
