Jeopardy!’s Neilesh Vinjamuri destroys competition for second win as another player praises ‘excellent’ rival

One JEOPARDY player continued to dominate after winning his second game.

On Monday night, champion Neilesh Vinjamuri returned hoping to win another game of Jeopardy.

During the episode, Neilesh faced Monica Anderson and Sean Duffie.

At the end of the first round, Neilesh was in the lead with $9,000 after correctly guessing the Daily Double.

In second place was Sean with $3,600 and Monica not far behind with $2,000.

After Double Jeopardy, Neilesh was far ahead of his opponents entering Final Jeopardy with $26,100.

Meanwhile, Monica came second with $7,600 and Sean came third with $5,200.

The Final Jeopardy category revolved around Authors, however, only one in three got it right.

The question read: “‘Love’ is in the titles of three of his most famous books; a fourth, ‘The Rainbow’, calls love ‘The Flower of Life’.”

Both Monica and Sean guessed incorrectly.

However, host Ken Jennings noted that Neilesh wrote his response quickly and got it right with DH Lawrence.

Neilesh won his second game for $29,100 after betting just $3,000.

His two-day total comes to an impressive $41,100.

During the game, Sean walked away with $2,000 and Monica walked away with $1,000.

On a Reddit forum dedicated to the beloved game show, fans and a fellow Jeopardy contestant discussed Monday’s game.

Danger! Universe

Danger! it first aired in 1964 until 1975. Then, the nighttime version began in 1974. Since then, many spinoffs of the game show have emerged. Here they are all:

Danger! – (syndicated) 1974 to present, weekdays on ABC at 7pm ET.

Tournament of Champions – 1984 to present, features the top champions who have appeared on the show since the last tournament.

Second Chance Tournament – 2022 to Present features hand-selected non-winners from the previous season, where the prize is entry into the Champions Wildcard.

Champions Wildcard – 2023 to present, features all one-, two-, and three-day champions from the previous season that are eligible for entry into the Tournament of Champions.

Danger! Invitational Tournament (distribution) – from 2023 to the present, features big names from the past invited by producers to compete for a place in the Masters.

Danger! Masters (primetime) – from 2023 to present, features the six Jeopardy! champions competing against each other.

Celebrity Danger! (Primetime) – From 1992 to the present, celebrities compete against each other to raise money for charity.

Pop Culture Jeopardy (streaming) – from 2024 to present, will feature teams of three in charge of pop culture trivia on Amazon Prime, host and air date to be determined

Danger! eliminated specialized tournaments, such as University Tournaments, Children’s Week and Teacher’s Tournament, to move towards a more sporting model, with the Masters being the top of the Jeopardy pyramid.

Other versions of Jeopardy! have also failed over the years, such as Sports Jeopardy!.

Sean, who came second in the game, started a thread for fans to ask questions about his time on the show.

In response to a fan asking about Neilesh, Sean praised his contestant.

“Neil was excellent. He was super kind and a great competitor.”

In other comments, viewers were thrilled that Neilesh had won another game.

“Neilesh’s depth and breadth of knowledge is impressive. Congratulations!” one wrote.

A second added: “I hope Neilesh wins at least by Thursday, making him at least 5-day champion.

Neilesh will continue his Jeopardy journey in Tuesday’s episode airing on ABC – check your local listings for air times.
