DANGER! fans criticized host Ken Jennings for incorrectly judging a contestant in a surprisingly harsh tone.

On Monday’s episode, Monica Anderson of Sterling, Virginia, chose the $400 “Food History” clue.

Double jeopardy! The clue read: “It’s nothing spacey, but a malted dairy product that gave its name to this chocolate bar first sold in 1924.”

Monica walked in confidently and replied, “What’s the Mars Bar?”

Ken’s reaction to the wrong answer wasn’t exactly a display of bedside manner, fans pointed out.

He could be heard yelling at her just a millisecond later: “That’s not right!”

Monica looked visibly surprised as she stared at the champion-turned-host with wide eyes.

Defending champion Neilesh Vinjamuri, a software engineer from Lionville, Pennsylvania, who would go on to win the game, was next.

He got the clue as “Milky Way”, to which Ken told him: “‘Milky Way’, that’s the right candy bar.”

‘A LITTLE DRAMATIC’

Fans took to social media, where they discussed Ken’s reaction and agreed that it was exaggerated, even if it didn’t impact the game.

“I think Ken was a little dramatic in Mars Bar’s response: ‘That is NOT correct!’ I wasn’t bothered by it; I thought it was funny,” wrote one Facebook user.

“Ken seemed succinct. He does this every now and then. The contestants don’t seem to think about it much. That’s all that matters,” wrote another.

“Alex used to be condescending to contestants… I guess it’s human nature sometimes,” wrote a third.

“Alex did the same thing. Stop it,” argued a fourth.

“He does this a lot IMO I liked the variety,” wrote a fifth.

“At least it wasn’t the dismissive/angry NO that Mayim used to do, right?” joked a sixth.

“That was weird,” agreed a seventh while another wrote: “I thought so too!!!”

“It’s well known that Ken hates chocolate bars,” joked another.

“Even the great Ken Jennings can be a little passive-aggressive sometimes!” defended another.

One more replied: “Lol, it caught my attention too!! But everything is fine.”

‘LESS NERVOUS’

Meanwhile, Neilesh won the game in his second of two matches with an impressive total of $29,100 and a combined total of $41,100.

Many fans were impressed by its strong showing, with just days left until the game show goes on summer hiatus on Friday.

Some are predicting he will make it to the Tournament of Champions before the end of Season 40.

“Neilesh’s depth and breadth of knowledge is impressive. Congratulations!” one Redditor wrote after Monday’s big win.

“Loving watching Neilesh, now hope he gains confidence in himself in his future DD bets,” wrote another.

“I hope Neilesh wins at least by Thursday, making him at least 5-day champion. He did very well today,” wrote a third.

“Neilesh looked nervous for a while during Friday’s episode before taking control of the game. Looks like the nerves are over and the rest of this week’s contestants may have had a tough time,” predicted a fourth.

“I know it’s just nerves, but he makes me dizzy,” joked another about the champion’s tendency to move back and forth on the podium.
