A WHEEL of Fortune contestant lost $40,000 after missing a puzzle that was so obvious it was gift-wrapped for her – so to speak.
Manisha did very well on Thursday, only to leave what even Pat Sajak admitted was the “easiest word” blank.
The Florida-based baker and ’80s Wheel of Fortune stan had an amazing episode with $26,900 and a trip to St. Louis.
“You kind of dominated here,” Pat, 77, told Manisha as he accompanied her to the special bonus round.
She selected “What are you doing?” as her category and chose a very clever “PGCA” as additional letters.
The three-word puzzle was displayed as “_RAPP_NG’ ‘S_ _ E’ ‘G_ _TS’, and the ten-second timer started for her to solve it.

However, she didn’t know this, guessing: “Wrapping…Wrapping gifts safe? Wrapping the same gifts?
The audience was completely silent and an “aww!” echoed in the stands as the timer ended and the puzzle was displayed in full: “Wrapping some presents.”
Pat and Manisha got together and he said, “Sometimes the easiest words can be the most complicated.
“You were looking for something a little more complicated there, you were very close,” he added.
‘There’
Pat revealed that he lost an extra $40,000 and social media users lost their minds because it seemed so obvious.
“PACKING SOME GIFTS!!! how!!???”, wrote a user X.
“How does that not become the first thought? But “Safe Gift Wrapping”????” wrote another.
“Wrapping gifts safe #wheeloffortune,” wrote a third.
“Aww, that $40,000 was gift-wrapped after some good card guessing,” wrote a fourth.
“Just when I finally sing a contestant’s praises, they let me down in the Bonus Round. #WheelOfFortune,” wrote a fifth.
MORE CHARMING FAILS
During Pat’s farewell season, the wrong answers on the beloved game show keep spinning.
Recently, a contestant lost the bonus puzzle “BAGELS & D_ _G _ N_TS”, unable to guess “donuts”, costing her a BMW.
Another contestant lost by mispronouncing a word from a completed puzzle, but some fans called Pat “cold-blooded” for thinking it was wrong.
More humorously, one contestant went viral for her wrong answer: “The British Ogre.”
And in the fall, NFL star Rashad Jennings went viral for thinking director Quentin Tarantino was “Puentin” Tarantino.
Of course, the biggest Wheel moment of the season was the infamous missed Pink Orchid bonus round, with the nation claiming that Megan was “robbed” and said the bonus puzzle correctly.
Megan went on GMA to respond to the controversy and let fans know that she did not, in fact, say “Pink Orchid.”
PAT’S PACKED FILMING
Meanwhile, Pat not only marked his final day as host, but also recorded his farewell episode, which The US Sun can exclusively reveal.
He will say goodbye to the masses in the season 41 finale on Friday, June 7, 2024.
But a rep for Wheel of Fortune exclusively confirmed to The US Sun that Pat filmed her final six-episode series on April 5, 2024.
This includes its final episode, aptly titled “Thanks For The Memories,” and it’s already filmed, the show is shared exclusively.
This means that Pat is done hosting the show and the episodes fans are seeing come after he is already retired.
The episode will be a TV milestone, as the presenter has been handing out puzzles and prizes alongside Vanna White, 66, since 1981 and 1982, respectively.
The show hasn’t said whether Pat’s farewell episode will be a total tribute to memories from all the years or simply a normal game ending with him saying goodbye.
Tickets for Pat’s penultimate five episodes opened to the public at the last minute, while his farewell episode was not open to the public and was invite-only.
Pat announced in spring 2023 that she would be leaving the iconic game show and that the 41st season would be her last.
Shortly after, Ryan Seacrest announced on Instagram that he would be replacing Pat as the new host in the fall of 2024.
The show airs weekdays at 7:30 pm ET on ABC, so fans can catch his farewell on June 7 at that time.
