KOURTNEY Kardashian discussed society’s expectations of losing weight after giving birth in a new article for her lifestyle brand.
The Poosh founder recalled her postpartum journey following the birth of her son, Rocky Thirteen, in November 2023.
“Your body is beautiful in every phase,” Kourtney, 45, noted in The piece detailing how her body is healing after having her fourth child.
“During pregnancy, while we are glowing and growing, postpartum, while we are healing and shrinking, and then this time is the hardest because our bodies are still adjusting,” she continued.
The Kardashians star then revealed that she tries to think positively about her shapely physique and doesn’t have unrealistic expectations of getting her petite body back.
“And if you’re breastfeeding, that’s another part. I try to be kind to myself as my body finds a new normal.
“The pressure put on us to bounce back when everything is new and different is not realistic,” Kourtney added.

She then shared some resources that have been helpful to her while caring for a newborn, including taking time for herself.
“It’s nice when mom can take an hour for herself and dad can take some extra time to bond with the baby,” the Hulu star said.
Kourtney continued: “In the beginning, it’s all about eating warm, nutritious foods, keeping [your] dry hair and do not come out.

“I started walking outside with the baby after a week or two to get some fresh air.
“I also kept really cozy and nurturing vibes at home, like drinking different hot teas throughout the day and playing relaxing jazz (and Christmas music because it was that time of year),” the TV personality concluded.
She posted a similar message to her Instagram Stories last month, receiving a slew of supportive comments.
Kourtney has had a loving attitude towards her post-baby body since welcoming Rocky in November, which fans have repeatedly praised on social media.
Last week, the Lemme founder received positive feedback from her followers after sharing a vulnerable message about not feeling well.
She posted a behind the scenes photo from a promotional shoot for the upcoming fifth season of her family’s reality show, The Kardashians.
