KOURTNEY Kardashian recalled her scary pregnancy scare on the season premiere of her reality show.
The 45-year-old star made a big splash in the fifth season premiere of The Kardashians, as they filmed when she was pregnant with her fourth child, Rocky Thirteen Barker.

Kourtney had to undergo emergency fetal surgery during her pregnancy and revealed to her friends how she found out.
During the scare, her husband Travis Barker was on tour with his band Blink 182.
While Kourtney was filming, she was 31 weeks pregnant and gathered her friends to catch up before the birth.
She explained how she organized an at-home scan so her other children, Mason, Penelope and Reign Disick, could see the baby.
Shortly after this, Travis had to leave for his world tour.
Kourtney explained that they hired “a high-risk doctor who is really detailed and thorough in looking for everything.”
During the exam, something “caught his attention” and the results had to be sent for more detailed analysis, which scared the future parents.
This resulted in Kourtney going in for fetal surgery, which meant the surgeon worked on the baby in her womb.

Kourtney said the experience was “terrifying” and she was forced to rest in bed for the rest of her pregnancy.
The Kardashian star didn’t go into detail about what the problem was, but said it was “super rare.”
On the show, three of his friends gathered around him in the bedroom of his luxurious Los Angeles mansion.
Kourtney revealed that she had to be rushed to the hospital and was not allowed to eat, drink or drive.
Kris Jenner took her in because Travis was in Europe, but he hopped on a plane to get there as quickly as he could.

“What was horrible was his Wi-Fi was broken on the plane, so he couldn’t get updates all the time,” Kourtney explained of Travis’ nightmarish journey.
“He left and I think I got it a few hours later, I was sending him updates and my mom was sending him updates and he didn’t get anything.
“He kept asking every two hours if they could restart the Wi-Fi, but they kept saying ‘it broke two flights ago’.”

The scene cut back to a pregnant Kourtney sitting in a confessional booth.
“When he got home I had already done the surgery because they had to do it immediately.”
Kris took Kourtney and stayed until Travis rushed to the hospital and was with his wife.

“He loves you so much,” Kourtney’s friend said as the scene cut back to Kourtney’s room.
“I told him after ‘you’re really my husband,'” Kourtney responded with a huge smile.
Kourtney’s friends asked if the problem manifested quickly and if they caught it early.
“The moment was miraculous. That saved everything,” Kourtney explained.
“I feel very grateful for the way everything went and for the doctors who helped make the best decision that saved our baby.”
Kourtney said her doctor declared the situation a “Trauma”.
“[The doctor said] I want you to take a second and know that this was really traumatic.”
THE REASON
The Lemme founder briefly mentioned how several people told her she couldn’t get pregnant due to her age, but she had faith it could happen.
She emphasized that the doctor told her the problem was “not age related” or due to anything she had done and that it was just a “super rare problem.”
“This was a miracle, we accomplished this and we are going to be super positive,” Kourtney concluded when analyzing her mental state during the incident.
She then went through her recovery process which included complete bed rest as she had a hole in her amniotic sac where the surgery took place.
Rocky was safely delivered in November 2023.
