On the latest episode of The Kardashians, Kim showed off her horrific injury, giving viewers an inside look at her shocking accident and the steps she took to get back into top shape.

The penultimate episode of The Kardashians’ fifth season, Second Chances, aired on Thursday, July 18.
Viewers got to see firsthand Kris Jenner’s recovery after her hysterectomy, Kourtney preparing for her family’s trip to Australia, and Kim and Khloe visiting a prison as Kim continues to advocate for criminal justice reform.
They may have also gotten a little more than they bargained for after Kim revealed she had recently been in a bizarre — and horrific — accident.
A few minutes into the episode, Kim is seen going to a doctor’s appointment to monitor her injury.

“What happened to your fingers?” a producer asks Kim.
“My big sliding door in my bathroom that opens and you see my entire bathroom window, I was closing it and it didn’t have a latch so you have to pull the inside of the mechanics out, so I pulled it like this,” Kim replied , walking down the hallway of a doctor’s office.

She then turned to the camera, demonstrating that she used the index and middle fingers of her left hand to pull the mechanics.
“Normally I stop with my hand, but I pulled too hard and then Saint came out with fries and I thought, ‘It’s 8:30 at night! No fries!’” she pretended to scream.

“And then it was ‘Boom!’ And I was like…uhhh…I literally looked at my hand and fell to the floor,’” she continued.
“I just grabbed the table and got down on my knees because I just saw all this blood and it was like my bone was sticking out a little bit, and I was like, ‘Help me!’ I was like, ‘I need ice!’” Kim added during a confessional.
“Like, I didn’t scream, I didn’t do anything, I was like, ‘Help,’” she added.
After detailing how she was injured, Kim also gave viewers a first-hand look at what happened to her fingers as a result of the accident.
A title card read: “WARNING: Graphic images in 3, 2, 1…” before showing the gruesome photos.

Looking gloomy
The camera cuts to Kim talking to a receptionist, explaining the extent of her injuries.
“Two of them, yes, they are both broken,” she tells the receptionist.
“Like I literally can’t do anything but freeze,” the star added in a confessional.
“You can’t even describe the pain, but your whole body goes into shock,” she said.
“It was more painful than childbirth,” she added.
“The similar tip broke off, so it’s like a floating piece,” she explains, as the camera cuts to an X-ray image of a floating piece of bone in her finger.
“I know, I wanted to die,” Kim joked, shaking her head.
“And he said, ‘There’s a chance your nail will never grow back,’ and I was like, ‘Oh, come on. Let’s go. I’m going to invent a nail implant,'” she said, laughing, referring to their previous conversation. with your doctor.
Kim then shows a close-up of her middle finger, covered in a small splint.

“Is the hyperbaric helping?” a producer asks Kim off-camera.
“I guess so. I did four hours yesterday, but like – who has time?” Kim responded as a flashback of Kim entering a hyperbaric chamber appeared on screen.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy involves “breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized environment,” according to the Mayo clinic.

The flashback shows Kim sitting in the chamber wearing an oxygen mask, before heading to her doctor’s appointment.

“That sounds great!” Dr. John Layke, a plastic surgeon, exclaims, as he examines Kim’s finger.
With the splint removed, viewers were able to glimpse Kim’s injury days after the accident – the top completely severed with dried, blackened blood surrounding it.
“Do you think this looks great?” Kim asks, dumbfounded.
“Yeah, because a lot of it is just some dried blood and some discharge,” he explains, as Kim asks, “Will it hurt?”
“No, not at all,” says Dr. Layke, as Kim asks, “Are you sure?”
“That’s the good part about peroxide,” he responds, cleaning her finger.
“I just want to make sure I don’t have to amputate this,” Kim asks.
“You won’t, one hundred percent,” he responds, as Kim breathes a sigh of relief, smiling at the camera.
“Do you know what came to mind?” Kim asks, before holding up her phone to show a photo of a poster for Saw II, the sequel to the hit horror film.
The poster shows two dirty fingers, with the nails split in half.
“That’s great,” Dr. Layke responds, laughing.
“Listen, I think you dodged a bullet,” he added, wrapping his fingers around her index and middle fingers.
“It could have been really bad,” the pair agreed.
“I won’t be late,” Kim told the cameras as she left the doctor’s office.
“I would give you the middle finger, but I don’t,” she added, laughing.
