Blake Lively has been a style standout since her gossip Girl days (XOXO!), but – while promoting his latest film, End with us – she is in full bloom.

The actress, who plays flower girl Lily Bloom in the adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel, is known for creating her own style. The fashion lover creates her own looks and accessories for red carpets, explaining that it is a way of expressing her creativity. She also draws inspiration from her characters, leaning into the method of dress, and has been “honoring Lily” while promoting the film, in theaters August 9.

See Lively’s themed fashion choices, including one that also pays homage to a pop star she admires — Britney Spears.

For the film’s New York premiere, Lively wore this colorful vintage one-shoulder Versace dress from 2002, covered in sequins featuring pink, blue, yellow and purple flowers, as well as butterflies. Although it marked the floral theme, it was also a tribute to Spears, who wore it in a Versace show in fall 2002.

She shared more about the selection on Instagram, calling Spears “the ultimate queen who made us want to shine, write and share our stories.” (Could it also be a part of the recently announced Spears biopic?)

For the after-party at Tavern on the Green, Lively donned a bright pink corset minidress with floral details that she paired with a flower-shaped clutch.

Lively blossomed into many different looks as she roamed New York City doing TV appearances and promotions. She delved into the personal archive of Dauphinette designer Olivia Cheng, who hand-painted the styles, including this ensemble she wore topless to CBS Mornings.

She changed into a longer skirt with a similar painted design, which Cheng said she made on her bedroom floor, paired with a vibrant tank top.

For the launch lunch for her new hair care line, Blake Brown, it was all in the daisy details in this Chanel look. Lively was decked out in black with a low-cut top with cutouts. She had another bag, from the same brand, in the shape of a button and flower rings on several fingers.

She put her own spin on the suit with a powerful skirt with a daisy motif.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants the actress wore several denim pieces during the press tour. This time, she paired these beaded jeans with a sheer beaded top over Versace underwear.

These were not typical funds either. Hey guys! And not just any – leg warmers with floral embroidery.

Lively turned hot pink for an appearance at the Betty Blooms Pop-Up in New York’s Chelsea neighborhood. Barbie Blake wore Dauphinette’s Doris dress with the brand’s Flora Chainmaille top and belt along with Péro’s LTD NO.67 wool jacket hand-embroidered with florals.

Lively knows how to work a set. This Elie Saab ensemble had several pieces, including the long, shiny jacket. Underneath, a sheer top showed off her bra, and floral pants lasted for days on her long legs.

Lively spread her feathers in New York City on another Dauphinette gown, the custom-made “Heaven Is a Place on Earth,” which required more than 300 hours of sewing to create. Daisies are part of the elaborate design.

Lively seemed to have fun rocking the skirt of this 1994 vintage Vivienne Westwood dress — and it was a walking garden party.

From long to short, she also wore this sparkly Dauphinette dress, with flowers on the front and back.

Did we mention she’s wearing jeans, but not regular jeans. With this lewk, from Cinq à Sept, she declared, “Iron-on-crystal stretch dark denim is back!” Underneath the blazer is a cropped top with flowers as well.

Lively showed her commitment to floral fashion once again in this negligee-inspired Michael Kors lace dress.

When promoting another film, Deadpool and Wolverine — starring her husband, Ryan Reynolds, in which she has a cameo — her Ladypool-inspired Atelier Versace jumpsuit didn’t scream Lily Bloom until you zoomed in to see the details. “All the embroidery on the jumpsuit was flowers, so I was still paying homage to Lily,” she told People.

That night, she changed into a red and blue Balmain mini that featured 3D roses on the top and bottom. (Perfect for a get 4/5 of NSync.)

Another fun skirt to cheer and scream about was this Bode outfit, with a full, flowy skirt, teeny bralette top, and jacket, all with beaded flower designs.

She showed love to Balmain earlier too. Here she is in the brand’s beaded mini dress at Book Bonanza in Dallas.

During the trip to Dallas, she also wore jeans with floral cutouts — and helped put floral appliqués on co-star Brandon Sklenar’s pants.

If only we knew where this was all going. One of her first Bloom-inspired outfits was this one she wore to the Tribeca Festival Artists Dinner in New York.

Lively opened up about her press tour to People, saying, “I’m a very shy person, so if I go somewhere, I tend to pick a character. It’s like, ‘What Spice Girl am I today? Or which character Sex in the city?'”

She said she loves that other stars wear outfits inspired by their movie roles — like Zendaya’s sneakers in Challengers and Margot Robbie’s pink fashion show for Barbie – because the method of dressing has always been his thing. She pointed to 2018 A simple favor press tour, when she wore suits like her character. She said it helps people pay attention to her films.

In End with us, Lively actually wore some of her own clothes — like a pair of clear boots, she told Today. She also borrowed a bunch of wardrobe pieces from her model friend Gigi Hadid’s closet and a few from Reynolds as well.
