How to watch Star Wars in chronological order

As with the MCU in recent years, the release order of Star Wars content doesn’t always align with where a movie or show falls in the story’s timeline. When will the new Star Wars trilogy out?

At the Star Wars Celebration 2023 last April was announced that a new Star Wars the trilogy is coming to the big screen…eventually. Three films following Daisy Ridley’s Rey are currently in the works. Ridley will reprise his role in a new film set 15 years after the events of The Rise of Skywalker – an era that Lucasfilm has officially dubbed the New Jedi Order.

Although there is currently no official script or release date for the first of three new Star Wars movies, we know the film follows Rey leading a new Jedi Academy and will be directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.

How to watch Star Wars in Obi-Wan’s order

This order reformulates the Star Wars timeline around just one character: Obi-Wan Kenobi. Unlike seeing Luke Skywalker at the center of the space opera, this order focuses on Ewan McGregor’s performance for a fresh approach. Star Wars.
