KEANU Reeves wants to reunite with his Speed co-star Sandra Bullock.
He said he feels a “siren call” to make Speed 3, a sequel to the 1994 film.

Speed will be celebrating his 30th birthday in June, so Keanu, 59, and Sandra, 59, sat down to talk about it.
They joined the 50MPH Podcast on May 6 and discussed the possibility of a sequel.
Keanu was initially hesitant about taking on the role because he had never done an action film before.
But Speed turned out to be the fifth highest-grossing film of the year.

For Sandra, it was a magical moment, as she had just come out of another great film.
Although Keanu wasn’t in Speed 2 with Sandra, he would love to reunite for a third film.
“I mean, you know — we would kill it,” he said on the podcast.
Sandra agreed with her co-star, with whom she also starred in The Lake House in 2006.
“There is no formula. It just is,” she said.
“Before I die, before I leave this planet, I think Keanu and I need to do something in front of the cameras. Are we, you know, in wheelchairs or with walkers? Perhaps. Are we on scooters at Disneyland?
Keanu added: “It feels like there’s a siren call, like something hasn’t been done. I would love to work with you again before our eyes close.”
Speeding up
Speed was an action thriller film directed by Jan de Bont.
Keanu and Sandra starred with Dennis Hopper, Joe Morton and Jeff Daniels.
The film is about a former bomb squad officer and co-worker of Keanu and Jeff who forcibly stole a Los Angeles bus and rigged it so that if it went over 50 mph it would explode.

Speed was a critical and commercial success, grossing US$350.4 million at the box office.
The film won two Oscars for Best Sound and Best Sound Effects Editing.
Speed 2: Cruise Control was released in 1997, but was not as successful as its predecessor.
Keanu did not participate in this film, casting Sandra in the lead role.

CHEMISTRY ON AND OFF THE SCREEN
Speed was so successful because of Sandra and Keanu’s on-screen chemistry.
According to casting director Risa Bramon Garcia, “everyone felt the chemistry in the room during Sandra’s audition.”
The film moves so quickly and barely establishes a backstory or a foundation for a romance.
The chemistry they had showcased their talents as actors.
Sandra and Keanu have admitted in the past that they both had separate crushes on each other, which could have fueled their on-screen chemistry.
“I think we had a fondness,” Keanu admitted.
“And the characters themselves have a warmth. I think Jack and Annie’s is different from Sandra and Keanu’s, but I think we played against each other and I think it was a lot of fun. I think we also trust each other, right?
Sandra said that the characters barely looked at each other made fans want them together more.
“That was a really smart setup, to keep people apart. Foreplay, I guess. But I felt really comfortable with Keanu,” she said.
