MONTY Python fans freaked out after the top stars got together for a birthday celebration.

However, one actor from the legendary film was visibly missing.

John Cleese, Terry Gilliam and Michael Palin took a photo together recently.

John, 84, shared the photo on X, formerly Twitter, on Wednesday.

He captioned it: “An 18-foot Python celebrates Pallin’s 181st birthday and 195th travel book.”

“Photo taken at the cafe at the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro.”

In the photo, John had a smile on his face and was wearing a black button-down shirt.

He sat next to Terry, 83, who was wearing a simple black long-sleeved shirt.

Michael, 81, was wearing a jacket and a blue button-down shirt.

He held up a plate that said “Happy Birthday” and placed a sweet dessert around it.

Michael’s birthday is May 5th.

There were three photos posted in total and in the third the men huddled together and laughed.

‘NONSENSE!’

Fans loved the reunion and commented on how silly the three men were.

“Silly old men. I love you,” one X user wrote.

“You silly gentlemen… you are responsible for a lot of laughter and giggles in my life. Happy birthday, Michael,” said another.

“Sincerely, all you silly gentlemen. My life has never been the same after being introduced to your wonderful nonsense,” added a third.

“Lovely to see you three hanging out together and looking happy. Legends,” tweeted one fan.

EMPTY SEAT

While the three co-stars and friends enjoyed a nice dinner together, there was one co-star who was noticeably absent.

Monty Python was a British comedy group formed in 1969.

They also made some comedy films.

We own everything we made in Python and I never dreamed that at this age income streams would dwindle so disastrously

Eric Idle

It consisted of John, Terry, Michael, Graham Chapman, Terry Jones and Eric Idle.

Graham died in 1989 and Terry Jones died in 2020.

However, Eric, 81, is still alive, but was not at the celebration.

He lives in Los Angeles, California, but seemed to be absent.

This could be because he fought with John and Terry online in February.

Eric was shocked that he had to continue working into his 80s because Python’s money had “dried up.”

“I don’t know why people always assume we’re loaded,” he tweeted.

“Python is a disaster. Spamalot made money 20 years ago. I have to work to earn a living. It’s not easy at this age.

Eric blamed Terry and his daughter, Holly, for the mismanagement of the group.

Holly runs HDG Projects, which manages Python and puts on the group’s London reunion show, Monty Python Live (mostly) – One Down Five to Go.

“We own everything we did in Python and I never dreamed that at this age the income streams would dwindle so disastrously,” continued Eric.

“But I guess if you put a son of Gilliam as your manager, you shouldn’t be so surprised. One Gilliam is bad enough. Two can wipe out any company.”

Eric told user X that he hadn’t seen John in seven years, after asking if they were still in touch.

The fan said it made him sad, but Eric said it made him happy.
