STUNTMAN Tony McFarr, who was best known as Chris Pratt’s stunt double in some of the actor’s biggest box office hits, has died aged 47.
Chris has worked with his stunt double on several films, including Jurassic World.
Tony’s mother, Donna, announced his “unexpected and sudden” death to TMZ.
The stuntman died on Monday at his home in Orlando, Florida.
The McFarr family said they do not know the exact circumstances of his death.
Toxicological tests are being carried out as of now.
The Orange County coroner told the outlet that an official cause is still pending.
In 2011, Tony began his stunt career in an episode of the crime drama, Bones.
His stunt work includes Homeland, Teen Wolf, Captain America: Civil War and The Accountant.

In June 2016, Chris shared a behind-the-scenes photo from that last day of filming Guardians of the Galaxy.
On Instagram snapshotthe duo donned their Marvel attire and wore the same red leather jacket.
Their faces are covered by the Star-Lord mask.
“Here’s me and my stunt double Tony McFarr (also Tommy Harper’s stunt coordinator and our first AD Lars Winther) on set,” Chris captioned the post.
“I’ve been working with Tony since Jurassic World.”
“I love you, friend! Happy ending!” he closed.
‘THE BEST’
In September 2020, Tony discussed The LAN Cave about performing stunts in Marvel superhero movies.
Sometimes you sit. Sometimes you do nasty stunts. Obviously when I was bending to [Chris] Pratt, I was doing all the stunts and everything.

“My time with [Marvel] about Captain America: Civil War I just a few weeks ago,” he said during the nearly 50-minute interview.
“Sometimes you know there are a few days of work.”
“Sometimes you don’t do anything,” he said.
“Sometimes you sit around. Sometimes you do nasty stunts.”
“Obviously, when I was voicing for Pratt, I was doing all the stunts and everything.”
“Most Marvel movies run pretty much like a well-oiled machine.”
“When I did Guardians, that was probably the best.”
