The HOME Alone mansion has hit the market for $5.2 million.
The Georgian-style home’s brick exterior remains nearly identical to what appeared in the 1990 Christmas comedy.

On Friday, the 5-bedroom, 6-bathroom Home Alone home was listed on Coldwell Banker websitebrought to market by Dawn McKenna Group of Coldwell Banker Realty for $5,250,000.
Positioned on just over half an acre, the 9,126-square-foot home is located in Winnetka, IL, a suburb of Chicago.
The iconic cinema home sits on a picturesque, tree-lined street behind a wrought-iron gate.
“The property epitomizes classic Chicago suburban architecture,” according to the listing.
Although the east Winnetka home was renovated and expanded in 2018, the listing agent specified that “the current owners have taken the utmost care in maintaining the architectural details and integrity of the home’s most memorable and recognizable spaces.”
The current owner purchased the imposing brick mansion in 2012 for $1.585 million, per TMZ.
The foyer, entry staircase, and formal living and dining room remain largely unchanged from what film fans will remember from the Macaulay Culkin-led family film.

There are six Home Alone films in total.

Culkin wasn’t interested in returning for Home Alone 3 because he grew tired of playing Kevin and other childish roles and felt it was time to move on, according to IMDB,
In 1994, the actor was exhausted from appearing in 15 films since first released, and so took a hiatus from acting.
There was the idea of a third film featuring teenager Kevin McAllister, but Culkin still avoided the spotlight.

The studio decided to go in a different direction for the third installment, rebooting the franchise with new child star Alex David Linz.
However, Home Alone 3 was unsuccessful compared to its predecessors, grossing $79 million against a budget of $32 million.
THE FRANCHISE
Culkin was the main star of the first two Home Alone films.
As mentioned, Home Alone 3 stars Alex D. Linz, who played a child of the same name who must fend off thieves trying to acquire a top-secret computer chip.
Home Alone 4: Taking Back the House again features the character Kevin McCallister, but this time actor Mike Weinburg plays him.
The next film in the Home Alone franchise: The Holiday Heist focuses on Finn and his sister, Alexis, who become paranoid after a friend tells them their house is haunted.
Rumors of a Home Alone remake involving Culkin have been circulating for years, but it doesn’t look like it’s happening anytime soon.
