Since the teaser was revealed, fans have been eager to know who will be in the film.

Knives Out follows a group of people suspected of a murder and Beniot Blanc is determined to find the killer and bring justice to the victim.

Actors who have been revealed so far include Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Glenn Close, Josh O’Connor, Andrew Scott and Cailee Spaeny.

On Thursday, it was announced that Mila Kunis will also join the cast.

However, few fans were thrilled with the decision after she supported That 70’s Show co-star Danny Masterson during his rape trial.

‘THIS IS NOT GOOD’

On X, formerly Twitter, fans criticized the casting choice and did not hold back their strong opinions.

One fan said: “Uhhhhhh… this is not good.

“Especially after the evil behavior she and her disgusting husband tried to commit last year.”

“Boo, then I’m not going to watch it,” exclaimed a second.

A third said: “Still not watching anything with her after defending a rapist, no thanks forever!”

“Eeew, after what happened to Danny Masterson… Have we forgotten what she and her husband did?” someone asked.

“Where should I write my letter so she doesn’t get cast?” a fifth questioned.

DANNY’S TRIAL

In June 2020, the former actor was accused of sexually assaulting three women between 2001 and 2003.

However, Danny denied the allegations and went to court to fight them in October 2022.

The letters were not written to question the legitimacy of the judicial system or the validity of the jury’s decision.

After the trial, the jurors were “hopelessly deadlocked”, causing a mistrial.

In April 2023, the new trial began.

Assistant District Attorney Reinhold Mueller said he “intends to present additional evidence at the retrial,” adding that the court can expect to see new witnesses testify.

A month later, Danny was found guilty by the jury on two of the three rape charges against him.

In September, he was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison.

LETTERS FROM MILA AND ASHTON

At the time, Mila and her husband Ashton Kutcher wrote character references in support of Danny.

In her letter, Mila he wrote“Throughout our time together, Danny has proven to be an incredible friend, confidant, and most of all, an excellent big brother figure to me.

His caring nature and ability to offer guidance have been instrumental in my personal and professional growth.”

In his letter, Ashton, who also appeared on That 70’s Show, wrote: “As a friend, Danny has been nothing but a positive influence on me.

“While I am aware that the trial found guilty on two counts of rape by force and the victims have a great desire for justice, I hope that my testimony about their character will be taken into account in sentencing.

“I do not believe he is an ongoing harm to society and to have his daughter raised without a current father would be a tertiary injustice in itself.”

YOUR EXCUSE

After their letters became public knowledge, the couple sent a apology video on the social networks.

Ashton said: “We are aware of the pain caused by the character letters we wrote on behalf of Danny Masterson.”

His wife continued: “We support the victims. Historically, we have done this through our work and will continue to do so in the future.”

The Guess Who actor explained that Danny’s family contacted them to write letters about the person “they had known for 25 years.”

Mila said: “The letters were not written to question the legitimacy of the judicial system or the validity of the jury’s decision.

“Our hearts go out to every person who has ever been a victim of sexual assault, sexual abuse or rape.”
