In addition to confirming that two new films were in the works, he also shared that one of them could hit screens as soon as next year.

Eddie was then asked, “Are you recording them both now?”
“No, not at the same time. I started recording Shrek – and I think it will be released in 2025 – and we will do Donkey next,” the movie star revealed.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, fans were quick to express their excitement at seeing the new additions to the beloved franchise.
“Shrek 5 News & Donkey Ad? Shrek fans have been waiting for this day,” said one person.
“A possible 2025 Shrek 5 release date, best news of the day,” said one person.
However, one social media user found many people agreeing with them when they said they wanted a Shrek movie to focus entirely on different characters.
“Yes, but we need a spinoff for the Shrek princesses. The real ones know they carried it!” they insisted.
GOOD COP
While Eddie was talking about his work on Shrek, he was busy promoting his new film, Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.
The actor recently reunited with his co-stars Judge Reinhold, 67, and John Ashton, 76, on the red carpet.
