Lindsay Lohan reveals Freaky Friday 2 plot details and admits the sequel is “weirder than you would expect”

LINDSAY Lohan has revealed the plot and what it was like reuniting with her Freaky Friday co-star Jamie Lee Curtis in the film reboot.

The actress appeared on Good Morning America to discuss filming the second part of the film.

“It’s going to be a really weird Friday. A lot weirder than you’d expect,” Lindsay shared about reprising her role in Freaky Friday 2.

Lindsay continued: “It’s fantastic. We all had so much fun and it’s great to have that on set.

“You always want to have fun. So it’s a lot of love, a lot of fun, a lot of laughter. It’s a great experience,” the star added about her strong bond with her co-stars.

One of them is Jamie, who Lindsay last worked with more than 20 years ago in the original Freaky Friday film, released in 2003.

The Mean Girls alum mentioned that the pair got back together on set, saying it felt like they were never apart.

“They always say when you have a best friend or someone you’re really close to, you can’t see them for years and years, but when you see them again it’s like you’ve never been apart,” Lindsay explained.

She also noted that she and Jamie have stayed in touch, making the transition back in front of the camera seamless for the duo.

Lindsay also talked about what to expect from the film, revealing that her character, Anna – who was a rebellious teenager in the first film – has a daughter.

Freaky Friday – which is a remake of the 1976 comedy of the same name starring Barbara Harris and Jodie Foster – tells the story of Anna and her mother Tess (Jamie) navigating their opposite lives after switching bodies due to a spell placed on them. a cookie fortune.

It grossed $160 million in theaters worldwide and could potentially have a similar impact with the sequel, set to hit theaters in 2025.
