The trailer opens with panoramic views of trees, mountains and forests in the Appalachians.

A voiceover from Hellboy, played by Jack Kesy, plays in the video that says something in the hills “smells like death.”

Scary images follow, such as a woman levitating in the air and bitten by snakes, and figures standing in the forest.

Insects and other inappropriate creatures appear in the trailer.

Another woman can be heard saying: “All your friends. They’re all going to die.”

The film is based on the comic books of the same name by Mike Mignola and artist Richard Corben.

Hellboy: The Crooked Man is set in the 1950s and follows the hero and Adeline Rudolph as they try to protect the residents of Appalachia from The Crooked Man.

“It looks like a fan-made trailer, but I’ll give it a try,” wrote another.

“Some Hollywood exec said, ‘Let’s make a cheap-budget horror movie with a popular IP,’” a third added.

“That looks terrible haha,” said another.

“Sorry to the people, I’m sure you worked hard on this, but you all would have been better off letting either of the first two iterations continue as a sequel… I’m sure in terms of box office, this will eliminate any chance of seeing Hellboy return to theaters. with a better film…”, said another.

“So is this real or made by a fan? I’m seriously asking,” asked one last fan.
