However, her disturbing horror movie character was finally revealed – and fans were left disappointed.

Longlegs stars Maika Monroe, 31, as an FBI agent assigned to solve a mystery about a serial killer named Longlegs, played by Nicolas, 60.
In a video shared by a viewer on TikTok, they shared what Longlegs looked like as his face was hidden in the trailers to entice people to see the film.
Nicolas looked completely unrecognizable as his character had a ton of makeup and prosthetics on his pale face and sported long, tousled hair.
‘AND THAT?’
In the comments section of the clip, viewers didn’t hesitate to share their honest opinions.

One critic wrote, “This movie wasn’t that good considering the amount of hype it received.”
“And that?” a second questioned.
A third echoed: “It wasn’t scary at all.”
A fourth viewer replied: “I can’t believe they really hyped this movie.
“[I] I wouldn’t recommend anyone watching this film.
“Save your money and thank me later.”
“I didn’t like it,” said a fifth. “Too short and not scary enough.”
“I like Nicolas Cage’s performance in the film, I just wanted more of him,” admitted a sixth.
Someone said, “I’m sorry, but this is the face you made [Maikia Monroe’s] heart rate 170?”
To get people excited about the film, producers shared what Maika’s real reaction was seeing Nicolas’ character for the first time.

Regardless of what the critics say, Nicolas went into detail about why people should see the film when it premieres.
The actor said: “I think it’s a must-see because I think Oz Perkins is a great director.
“Maika Monroe is a great actress. I’ve been following her since It Follows. I was excited to work with her.
“I think it gave me a chance to do something totally new, which as a film actor I want to keep eclectic and keep challenging myself,” he said.
In addition to Maika and Nicolas, the film stars Urban Legend’s Alicia Witt, Totally Killer star Kiernan Shipka and Set It Off actor Blair Underwood.
