Usher cancels Atlanta show, says ‘I can’t do my best physically’ as fans are ‘devastated’

USHER canceled their Atlanta show for a personal reason.

The R&B singer announced the news on Instagram on Wednesday.

“During my 30+ year career, 100% of my blood, sweat and tears have gone into performing at my best and creating a memorable experience for my fans,” he said. he wrote.

“I have every intention of doing that on this tour as well, which is why I have to postpone tonight’s show and reschedule it for a later date, to give my body a second to rest and heal.”

“You will still have a little bit of the past, the present and a unique vision of the future on the rescheduled date, but you will also have 100% of me,” Usher, 45, continued.

Usher said he “didn’t want to disappoint the fans,” especially those who were waiting for the tour to begin.

“However, I wouldn’t be the artist I am if I couldn’t do my best physically,” he continued.

The singer said that his team will soon announce the new date for the State Farm Arena, in Atlanta, Georgia.

“I can’t wait to celebrate this legacy with you,” concluded Usher.

Today was the first day of their Past Present Future tour.

There are two more shows in Usher’s hometown of Atlanta on August 16th and 17th, but it is not yet confirmed whether they will go ahead as scheduled.

“Of course we want you healed and able to put on the best show possible. HOWEVER, there was something special about going to the first show. Now we won’t have that experience,” said another.

“Hours before the show is crazy… what about my hotel and flight???” added a third.

“I respect the message. I also hope that artists recognize that there are people who spend a lot of money (travel, modifications to their daily arrangements, clothes, etc.) and can’t do it twice,” said one fan.

Usher’s Past Present Future Tour is his sixth headlining tour. It’s a promotion for her ninth album, Coming Home. The R&B singer had to cancel his concert in Atlanta, Georgia on August 14 to let his body rest and heal. Here are the rest of the dates.

ABOUT THE TOUR

The Past Present Future Tour is Usher’s sixth tour.

It is in support of her ninth studio album, Coming Home.

THE traverse is scheduled to run across North America until November 30th.

Usher will then resume performances in Europe on March 29, 2025, starting in London, England.

He will end his tour on May 7th, for another date in London.

The Past Present Future Tour follows his 100-show residencies at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace and Park MGM in Las Vegas, Nevada from 2021 to 2023.

It also follows Usher headlining the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show at Allegiant Stadium on February 11, 2024.
