What happened between Chris Brown and Quavo?

Chris Brown and Quavo began feuding in 2017 when it was reported that Quavo had started dating Karreuche Tran, who Brown dated from 2011 to 2015.

Although the former Migos member and Tran never confirmed the rumors at the time, Brown reportedly felt betrayed that Quavo dated Tran, as he considered him one of his good friends.

To add fuel to the fire, Tran filed a restraining order against Brown around the time her dating rumors with Quavo began circulating.

According to TMZBrown didn’t think it was just a coincidence and that Tran only filed so she could date Quavo freely.

Not long after, reports surfaced that Brown and Quavo’s teams had a physical altercation backstage at the BET Awards, but both camps apparently emerged unharmed.

Nothing came of the Quavo and Tran dating rumors afterward, and soon, Quavo was romantically linked to Saweetie, while Tran began dating former New York Giants player Victor Cruz.

They did, however, spark dating rumors again in 2021, but Tran denied they were a couple.

When did Chris insult Quavo?

Aside from some social media criticism here and there, Chris Brown and Quavo seemed to have put their feud aside.

But in April 2024, when Brown released the deluxe edition of his album 11:11, it included a track titled Freak, which featured Lil Wayne, Joyner Lucas, and Tee Grizzley, and contained an apparent diss aimed at Quavo.

Based on the lyrics, it seems like Brown still isn’t over how Quavo apparently dated Karreuche Tran.

“OK, now my old sons ain’t gone, make us equal / Drinking that 1942 ’cause I don’t do no Quavo,” he sang. “Freak, she likes Casamigos, not Migos.”

How did Quavo respond?

It wasn’t long until Quavo released his own diss track titled Tender just one day later.

Quavo seemed to address his beef with Chris Brown in one of the verses and the chorus.

“You did the wrong shit and now the shit is gone, she posted it with a thug. Call the shit phone, she ain’t coming home, don’t hit her / That must be the drugs, I need to scratch her plug,” he rapped in the chorus.

In the second verse, the former Migos member then rapped, “Tell me, ‘little brother, what’s your problem? It’s over / You said you’re bigger than that, but no, you’re not / It’s because I’m digging ’em, they got hot,” he sings. “I’m respecting it, but I don’t know you / You bitch on my neck, you bitch on the local.’

When did Chris release Weakest Link?

Then, on April 20, 2024, just a week after the release of Tender, Chris Brown dropped Weakest Link, which included several insults aimed at Quavo.

The cover art even showed Quavo biting into a hot dog.

“Okay, let’s get to the facts, bitch, I’m doused in red / Don’t let that R&B shit fool you, niggas get torn to shreds / Quavo talkin’ like he’s ***, nigga, you idiot with dreads / I can’t wait to see the day that you back up all this shit you said,” Brown rapped in the opening verse.

‘What’s all that boss shit you talking about? You ain’t no guess, bro / You’re the weakest link in your clique, let’s keep it a secret, bro.’

He even insinuated that he slept with Saweetie while she and Quavo were still together.

‘You fucked my ex-ho, that’s cool, I don’t give a fuck, bro/Cause I fucked your ex when you were still with her, bitch, I’m standing, bro.

He continued, “They say revenge is sweet, now think about that shit / Don’t let that line go through your head, I could just sing about that shit / I drove her crazy with it. **, there’s something sweet about that / I got some tea from that shit, but I ain’t gonna talk about that shit.
