The newest class of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame artists has been announced and will perform at a dazzling, star-studded event in October.

Mary J. Blige, Cher, A Tribe Called Quest and Ozzy Osbourne are just a few of the fan favorites set to be inducted into the Cleveland-based institution later this year.

Hall of Famer Lionel Richie announced the exciting news with Ryan Seacrest during Sunday’s airing of American Idol.

Other 2024 honorees include Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner, Peter Frampton and Kool & the Gang, according to the Hollywood reporter.

Several of the artists are receiving the honor after being named on the ballot for the first time, including Cher, Foreigner, Frampton, Osbourne and Kool & the Gang.

This is technically the second time Osbourne has been inducted into the Hall of Fame – he joined as a member of Black Sabbath in 2006.

The musicians will officially join the musical elite during the 39th induction ceremony at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio.

The ceremony will include performances from several stars and will be broadcast live on Disney+.

Other popular musicians will also be honored at the event.

Jimmy Buffett, Dionne Warwick, Norman Whitfield and MC5 are slated to take home the Musical Excellence Award.

And Alexis Korner, Big Mama Thornton and John Mayall will receive the Musical Influence Award and Suzanne de Passe will win the Ahmet Ertegun Award.

Some successful groups and singers were nominated for this year’s class, but failed to make the cut.

Fifteen artists did not make the final list, including Jane’s Addiction, Mariah Carey, Lenny Kravitz, Oasis and Sinéad O’Connor, who died last year.

Expectations for this year’s show are high after the Hall of Fame welcomed Kate Bush, George Michael, Missy Elliott, Sheryl Crow, Willie Nelson and Rage Against the Machine to its 2023 class.

Fans can watch the 2024 inauguration ceremony and its top-notch presentations live on Disney+ or later on ABC and Hulu.
