ELVIS Presley’s historic home, Graceland, could be sold at a foreclosure auction later this week if pleas from surviving family members are not heard.
A temporary restraining order was granted Monday by a Memphis, Tennessee, court to halt the sale.
Presley’s granddaughter, actress Riley Keough, is fighting the case claiming the company behind the foreclosure was not entitled to it in the first place.
A notice was released this month noting that Graceland and its surrounding area would be auctioned off to the highest bidder in front of the Shelby County Courthouse on May 23, according to the local CBS affiliate WREG.
The company behind the motion, called Naussany Investments and Private Lending, says Keough’s mother, Lisa Marie Presley, took out a $3.8 million loan using the property as collateral.
She signed a trust deed to secure the loan in 2018, Naussany Investments alleged.

They claim that Lisa Marie never paid the debt before her untimely death at age 54 in 2023.
Keough says the loan is fake and was not foreclosed on by his mother.
“These documents are fraudulent,” the lawsuit states.
Keough claims that the signatures on the deed are fake and goes even further to claim that Naussany Investments is not a real entity.
Online information about the company is almost non-existent and its phone number was disconnected when local reporters reached out.
In the lawsuit, she claims that the notary involved in the deed denied having verified Lisa Marie’s signature or even having met her.
A MONUMENT TO THE HISTORY OF ROCK & ROLL
Presley moved to Graceland with his family in 1957, during the height of his career.
The megastar purchased the 13.8-acre property for $102,500, the same year he recorded several fan favorites, including Blue Christmas and All Shook Up.
Lisa Marie helped convert it into a museum and tourist destination in 1982.
The house was named in a survey last year as the most popular museum in the United States.
More than 600,000 visitors explore the King of Rock & Roll’s home every year, according to the museum website.
Lisa Marie inherited Graceland after Elvis’ death in 1977, according to the May DiaryI.
What is Elvis Presley’s Graceland?

Elvis created some of his most famous hits at Graceland, including Blue Christmas and All Shook Up. Here’s everything you need to know.
Graceland is located at 3763 Elvis Presley Blvd in Memphis, Tennessee.
It was built in 1939 by Ruth Brown Moore and her husband Thomas D. Moore, who named the property Graceland in honor of Ruth’s aunt Grace, who originally owned the land.
Elvis purchased the property in 1957 and immediately moved in with his young family – wife Priscilla and daughter Lisa Marie Presley.
Elvis’ father, Vernon Presley, assumed fiduciary control that ran Graceland along with the estate itself after Elvis’ death in 1977, according to instructions in the star’s will.
The family decided to transform Graceland into a museum and tribute to the King of Rock & Roll, opened in 1982.
Ownership of Graceland was transferred to Lisa Marie when she turned 25 in 1993.
Graceland changed ownership again when Lisa Marie died suddenly in 2023.
Elvis’ granddaughter, Riley Keough, held a procession through the estate following her mother’s death.
A TRAGIC DEATH
Lisa Marie was discovered unresponsive in her California home on January 12, 2023 and rushed to the hospital, but it was too late.
A later autopsy report found that the star died from complications due to a small bowel obstruction.
The report said a small amount of oxycodone, an opioid, was found in her system, which was attributed to a valid prescription she received months earlier after cosmetic surgery.
She also had therapeutic levels of the anxiolytic, buprenorphine, and traces of quetiapine, an antipsychotic.
Toxicology of his urine was negative and no drug paraphernalia or narcotics were found in his home, the coroner’s report said.
Lisa Marie was buried next to her son, Benjamin Keough, who died at age 27 by suicide in 2020.
Both are buried in the Graceland Meditation Garden.
