BRAZILIAN singer Anitta was accused of dubbing during her performance on Today.
She performed a medley of hits for the daytime show on Friday morning to promote her new album, Funk Generation, released on April 26.
During the song Frita, Anitta, 31, sang, but fans noticed that her mouth wasn’t moving correctly with the words.
The track felt too clear and recorded to be sung live outdoors.
Fans on X, formerly Twitter, said she lip-synced during today’s Citi summer concert series.
“I love lip syncing,” said one observer.
“She lip-synced,” said another.
“Listen, I support new artists and I love it when they perform at the Plaza, but if an artist can’t perform their songs, why bother?!” added a third.
“It’s more than comical how bad this is. I love it when they have artists at the Plaza, but when it comes to lip syncing I draw the line. Horrible,” said another.
“What a boring performance,” said another.

“She needs to improve her sync skills, she was terrible,” added one last fan.
Anitta also sang her 2022 hit, Envolver, as well as Lose Ya Breath and Cria de Favela.
ANITTA IN THE SQUARE
Anitta cooled off in the New York heat with a short denim skirt, leather vest, belt, fishnet stockings and boots.
She wore her brown hair loose and in waves behind her back.
When the singer finished her performance, she went into the crowd and greeted her fans.
Presenter Hoda Kotb brought a fan on stage to hug and meet Anitta, after she showed off her dance moves to the crowd.

She then sat down for an interview on Today’s Third Hour with Craig Melvin, Dylan Dreyer and Sheinelle Jones.
Anitta, whose real name is Larissa de Macedo Machado, explained why she uses the nickname.
She explained to the hosts that there was a woman in her hometown who went by the name and said that she woke up every day and decided what kind of woman she would be that day.
Anitta then sang another song in the square.
SOMETHING ON YOUR MIND
Anitta opened up to Today before arriving at the Plaza.
“I’m sorry if I was quiet; I just got back from one of the worst interviews of my entire career,” she told the channel.
“They just wanted to ask me about sex, my sexuality, my love life. It was so sexist, like we were stuck in time 20 years ago.”
“At one point they asked if I would consider posing for Playboy. Playboy!” she continued.
“And when I answered, I said, ‘Who knows, maybe I’m a writer for Playboy. They were so surprised. It was like they never considered that I might be beautiful It is talented It is intelligent.”
However, Anitta later admitted that she doesn’t mind talking about her sexuality, but that’s not all she wants to talk about.
“I love being a sexual person. It’s part of my character. I just don’t like it when people think this is just this,” she said.
