WILLIE Nelson left fans concerned for his well-being after announcing he would miss part of the Outlaw Music Festival.

The On The Road Again singer fell ill, according to a statement he released on X – formerly Twitter.

Although Willie, 91, has not revealed the nature of his illness, he has shared with fans that he will not be able to take the stage for days.

“We regret to inform you that Willie Nelson is not feeling well and, on doctor’s orders, has been advised to rest for the next four days,” the statement began.

“He is expected to make a speedy recovery and join the Outlaw Music Festival tour next week. Meanwhile, Lukas Nelson and the Family Band, along with some guests, will perform a special set to include Willie classics and other songs.”

The statement continued: “Bob Dylan, Robert Plant, Alison Krauss and Celisse will continue to perform as scheduled.”

Fans in the comments expressed concern and sent their best wishes to the musician.

SCARED ON SOCIAL MEDIA

“You can’t just start a tweet with ‘We’re sorry to inform you that Willie Nelson,’” one fan posted on the social media platform.

“Jesus you scared us,” someone else posted.

“Professionally speaking, if he’s going to be okay, don’t start by saying we’re sorry to report a 91-year-old man.”

ALL ABOUT OUTLAW

The 2024 Outlaw Music Festival heads to Charlotte, North Carolina for a show at the PNC Music Pavilion on Saturday, June 22.

Willie was scheduled to perform there and play another show at Coastal Credit Union Music Park in Raleigh, North Carolina on Sunday, June 23.

He is set to take the stage on Wednesday, June 26, at the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

The festival was announced in February and is expected to last until September.

In addition to the already announced star lineup, John Mellencamp is expected to participate in the festival.

The Hurts So Good singer, 72, will replace Robert, 75, and Alison, 52.
