Montell Douglas first made headlines when he chased gold at the Olympics, but is now dancing his way to a trophy on Strictly Come Dancing.

Who is Montell Douglas?
Montell Douglas is an Olympian and star of BBC’s Gladiators.
She was born in Lewisham before studying sports science at Brunel University.
Montell joined the cast of BBC Gladiators in May 2023, where he took on the alter ego of Fire.
Speaking about the show, she said: “Being a gladiator has always been a secret dream of mine.
“As a strong and powerful woman, I am living proof that you can achieve your dreams, no matter your age or background, if you believe and keep pushing.”
When did Montell Douglas represent Team GB at the Olympics?
Before appearing in Gladiators, Montell was a true Olympian.
She represented Team GB at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in athletics events.
Although she was unable to reach the 100m semi-finals, she did manage to reach the 4 x 100m relay.
Unfortunately, she failed to win a medal here either.
When will Montell be on Strictly?
Montell joined the hit dance show after being hit by repeated scandals.
In 2024, Amanda Abbington alleged that her dance partner Giovanni Pernice was abusive, and separately, a staff member said that the dancers created a toxic work atmosphere.
The show is set to return in September and will feature TV royalty such as Nick Knowles and other reality stars such as Pete Wicks.
