A BIG Brother contestant surprised fans with comments about a family member during a recent episode of the reality show.

The 26th season of the long-running CBS series kicked off with a one-hour premiere on July 17, with Julie Chen returning as host.

Just like previous iterations, the new season follows a group of 16 strangers as they are kidnapped into the famous Big Brother house for a summer of chaos, betrayal, conflict and romance.

This year’s cohort includes real estate agent Angela Murray, former Marine Cedric Hodges, former undercover police officer Kenney Kelley and Makensy Manbeck, a construction project manager from Houston, Texas.

During Wednesday’s episode, the houseguests spent some time getting to know each other, each revealing who they’ve missed most since being cooped up at home.

However, Makensy’s baffling response shocked Big Brother fans, who questioned why the 22-year-old would make such an “insane” admission on TV.

Responding to the question, Makensy said: “Probably my brother. I love my mom and dad, but he is my soulmate.

He’s my main man. I hate that I have to marry another man because he is my number one man,” she continued.

“I love him so much, his birthday is in five days. He’s my friend. I’m not going to get into it because I’m going to cry,” Makensy added.

A 50-second clip of the interaction was later shared on TikTok, where fans pointed out how “scary” and “insane” Makensy’s comments were.

“I ASK FOR YOUR BEST FORGIVENESS????” one person wrote.

Another TikTok user added, “HUH? Don’t say that! That’s not what we say about our brothers.”

“The way my jaw dropped like, I’M SORRY?!?!?!??!!??!??????!” a third comment read.

A fourth person pointed out: “Okay, I could have defended the soulmate because a soulmate isn’t necessarily someone you love as a husband/wife, but the marriage comment is just WILD.”

Others came to Makensy’s defense, with one viewer writing: “I think she just meant she loves her brother and is closer to him.

“Normally, if I talk about someone this way, it’s out of love and appreciation for them.”

Big Brother Villains

Big Brother has been loved by fans of reality shows since 2000. The program brings together a group of strangers to live in a house, competing in different challenges. Along the way, villains are introduced.

Here’s a look at some of the most prolific villains:

  • Jessie Godderz
  • Aaryn Gries
  • Mike Malin
  • Dick Donato
  • Jackson Michie
  • Justin Sebik
  • Paulo Abraão
  • Rachel Reilly
  • Will Kirby
  • Dan Gheesling
  • Amanda Zuckermann
  • Jack Mathews
  • Shannon Dragoo
  • Chima Simone
  • Paulie Calafiore
  • Vanessa Russo
  • Jessica Graf
  • Danielle Reis
  • Matt Hoffman

Big Brother currently airs three times a week, with new episodes on Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

‘TEDIOUS’

However, a recent schedule change left fans disappointed as they declared the twist to be a “snoozefest” on X.

CBS announced that it would air a special episode on Tuesday, August 13, bringing back previous winners Jag Bains, Taylor Hale and Cody Calafiore to examine the big moments from season 26 so far.

Critics were equally frustrated with the choice of winners as the unplanned special episode, with one person writing, “Jag and Cody? Won’t watch.”

“This season has barely started, do we really need your hot takes…? Give us a twist from the inside,” another person complained.

“Snoozefest,” declared a third X user.

Elsewhere, fans accused producers of “manipulation” to save series villain Angela at the expense of other players.

They suggested that the Power of Veto competition during Wednesday’s episode was rigged to save the Syracuse real estate agent, suggesting the game would be “REALLY easy” to rig.
