Thursday’s episode of Big Brother featured fierce competition in the AI Arena followed by a high-stakes elimination that some viewers disagreed with.

As the episode aired, however, some fans watching the CBS reality series had difficulty watching.

Several Paramount+ subscribers took to X, formerly Twitter, to complain about interruptions in their service during the program.

The problems led to them losing the vote and being eliminated during the broadcast, despite paying to access live TV through the streaming platform.

“@paramountplus why do I pay for live TV when I can’t even watch the shows I want when they’re on? You need to fix this,” criticized one subscriber, sharing a video of what he saw while trying to tune in.

Despite clicking on the Big Brother Season 26 live episode on the app, they were taken to a broadcast of the New England Patriots and Jacksonville Jaguars preseason football game.

Another Paramount+ user posted on social media: “@paramountplus why am I paying to watch a tornado warning instead of live Big Brother voting? [crying emoji].”

“Hey @paramountplus – if Big Brother is broadcasting in my time zone, I should be able to watch it on your app that I pay for, even if the local network chooses to play a football game between the two worst teams in the NFL,” criticized one third.

A fourth Big Brother fan asked: “@paramountplus what the hell is going on why can’t the DMC area watch big brother.”

Big Brother fans criticize the ‘waste’ of the eviction in failing to eliminate the powerful player

“Hi!!! @askparamount I paid to add airtime and still can’t get the live eviction. Enjoy my money,” complained a fifth subscriber.

Another posted, “@paramountplus I PAID FOR YOUR SERVICE WHY CAN’T I WATCH @cbsbigbrother Online??????”

WHAT A WASTE

Those who were able to tune in and watch the drama unfold on Big Brother live were furious following the elimination.

After wavering between wanting to go home and wanting to stay and compete on Big Brother, Kenney Kelly was sent home.

Big Brother Villains

Big Brother has been loved by fans of reality shows since 2000. The program brings together a group of strangers to live in a house, competing in different challenges. Along the way, villains are introduced.

Here’s a look at some of the most prolific villains:

  • Jessie Godderz
  • Aaryn Gries
  • Mike Malin
  • Dick Donato
  • Jackson Michie
  • Justin Sebik
  • Paulo Abraão
  • Rachel Reilly
  • Will Kirby
  • Dan Gheesling
  • Amanda Zuckermann
  • Jack Mathews
  • Shannon Dragoo
  • Chima Simone
  • Paulie Calafiore
  • Vanessa Russo
  • Jessica Graf
  • Danielle Reis
  • Matt Hoffman

He was up for elimination against Tucker Des Lauriers and Quinn Martin.

Tucker was saved after crushing the competition in the Big Brother AI Arena, but Kenney and Quinn were vulnerable.

Before elimination, the duo had the opportunity to defend their arguments about why they should be saved.

Quinn pleaded his case, while Kenney seemed resigned to the idea of returning to his wife and two children in Boston, Massachusetts.

“First of all, to my lovely wife and children, I love and miss you so much,” he said.

“To Quinn, I don’t know how you ended up here. … Guests, this is a game. I know it’s a game, but there are real emotions in this game. I was a competitor. I came to win, I came to play. … I love everyone you guys, I appreciate all of you. Do what you think is best for the game.

In the live vote, everyone except Tucker voted for Kenney to leave the Big Brother house, which many fans considered a mistake.

“So stupid not to vote for Quinn considering her power,” one fan posted.

“I 100% believe Kenney told everyone to vote for him after he got back from AI Arena,” a second viewer suggested.

“These houseguests are annoying! Kick out the good players! Kick out Quinn! Oh my God!” I asked for a third.

“These idiots are really going to waste a good eviction to get the guy out of there who will literally walk alone in a matter of days,” criticized a fourth viewer.

“I must say the houseguests are fools for not evicting a good social actor,” a fifth commenter wrote.

“I want to hear how keeping Quinn over Kenney helps your game…quickly…” replied a sixth.

Someone called the elimination choice a “big mistake.”

IS IT AN INTERNSHIP?

Critical viewers have a lot to say about this season of Big Brother.

After an August 7 episode, viewers questioned whether the show was scripted, while others accused producers of controlling the results.

During the episode, it seemed like the entire house was planning for season 26 villain Angela Murray to be sent home.

Fans watching believed it looked like the producers were working to save her and send Kenney home in her place.

Throughout the episode, Kenney struggled with homesickness, with the producers seemingly becoming as frustrated with him as those watching the show.

At one point, they compiled footage of him alternating between wanting to hang out and play, adding a thumbs-down emoji to the screen.

Meanwhile, Cedric Hodges was devising a plan with his alliances to oust Angela after they teamed up to attack Lisa Donahue in a previous episode.

Fans online speculated that producers appeared to be manipulating the competition to protect Angela.

During the episode, there was a Power of Veto competition, during which players were asked to try and weave glowing sticks in a fake jungle setting without hitting laser beams and decreasing their power.

“This veto would be VERY easy for producers to manipulate a winner,” one commenter posted.

“Kenney with the Go home edit is like the producers know Kenney is going,” pointed out a second.

“Honestly, the Big Brother producers need to just let Kenney go. Don’t let him compete. Don’t waste everyone’s time, just send him home,” ordered a third.

“The producers clearly want Kenney to come home this week,” wrote a fourth fan.

“Producers are fed up with Kenney wanting out of Ijbol,” wrote a fifth.

Angela was also spared during a previous elimination, adding to the conversation.
