REAL Housewives of New Jersey’s Margaret Josephs spoke out amid her feud with Jackie Goldschneider in an exclusive interview with The US Sun.
Margaret, 57, and Jackie, 47, had a falling out when season 14 of RHONJ was filming over the summer, The US Sun previously reported.
Jackie has since repaired her friendship with Teresa Giudice and moved on to “Team Teresa” amid the OG’s estranged relationship with Melissa Gorga.
“I wouldn’t call it teams. You know, it’s not baseball, although we played softball, but I think Jackie will do anything to stay relevant, and that’s how I feel,” Margaret told The US Sun after attending the fashion show Patricia Field x Lara Eurdolian Rescue Dog on April 14 in New York City.
“I know the true essence of Jackie’s belief system, so I don’t know if anyone could change her belief system.”
She then ruled out any chance of becoming friends with The Weight of Beautiful author again.
“I think I figured out who she really is, and whether she really is like that, no,” Margaret said.
She joked that fans will see the “shocking fight” between her and Jackie when the new season premieres next month.
BATTLING
The US Sun reported that the feud between the Macbeth Collection founder and Jackie began at Dolores Catania’s annual softball game in August in Brooklyn.
While the charity game was taking place, the cast filmed heated discussions behind the scenes.
A source said at the time: “Margaret and Jackie had a huge argument over her book. Jackie handed out copies of her book to some of the cast but Margaret couldn’t get through and it made her question their friendship.”
“Jackie believes Margaret is trying to give herself credit for getting the book deal, but it was actually the shared publicist, who Margaret introduced to Jackie, who helped get her the book deal,” the source continued.
IT’S NOT HER PROBLEM
In addition to the former friends fighting this season, fans will also see Teresa and her husband Luis Ruelas fighting, as teased in the trailer.
“I don’t know much about them. I really have nothing to do with them,” Margaret responded when asked about her marital problems.
In the trailer, the co-founder of Soirée attacks her husband, Joe Benigno, over the phone: “Luis wasted her money.”
When asked about his financial problems, Margaret told The US Sun: “I mean, I don’t know. I’ve never seen his bank account, so I really don’t know.”
All differences aside, Margaret is “very excited” to see this season unfold and “very confident that everything will work out as it should.”
“I feel great. I’m really excited about it. I think it’s very, very different.
“I always feel good at the start of a season. I don’t know how I’ll feel at the end, but I feel very peaceful here”, she commented.
FUTURE OF THE SHOW
Housewives producer Andy Cohen recently addressed the future of RHONJ on his Sirius XM podcast, explaining how it’s “not sustainable” for the show to continue filming the way it should amid the Turning the Tables author and Melissa.
As reported, the sisters-in-law have been “avoiding each other” and “refusing to speak to each other” at filmed cast events.
Although Melissa agreed it wasn’t sustainable, Margaret believes the show will go on.
“You know, it will end the way it should be. I really want [think so]” she insisted.
“I really feel like the chips are down and I feel confident the way I am. I truly stick to what I believe and truth and good always triumph over evil.”
RHONJ premieres Sunday, May 5th at 8pm ET/PT on Bravo.
