As a designer and builder, Jasmine founded her company Built Custom Homes.
She has hosted and appeared on several HGTV shows over the past few years.
For two seasons, she transformed basic homes into dream homes on Hidden Potential.
Jasmine also competed on Season 1 of Rock the Block and won the entire competition.
Since 2020, she has hosted Help! I Wrecked My House, which features the designer helping homeowners fix renovation projects gone wrong.
She also hosted an episode of House Hunters: All Stars earlier this month.
Now, fans are worried about Jasmine planning to leave HGTV after noticing a pattern in her latest Instagram posts.
The TV personality recently started sharing heartfelt posts about changing her priorities and wanting to change things in her life.
A few weeks ago, Jasmine shared a short video of herself sitting in her car, contemplatively looking around.
MAKING CHANGES
“It’s okay if goals change,” she began in her caption. “So that the things you wanted (and even worked so hard to get) are no longer the things you are striving for.”
“It’s also okay to have difficulty admitting this change,” continued the TV presenter. “For yourself and especially for others.
Jasmine acknowledged that it can be “confusing and difficult” for those around her to witness her goals changing.
She admitted that she is dealing with this “change now” and that it has been a “challenging transition.”
“Give yourself grace, patience, and the time you need to think about what you want,” she advised others. “Start small and let it lead to bigger dreams.”
A few days ago, Jasmine reiterated that she is in this transition period in her life.
She shared another clip of herself, this time looking out a plane window.
“I’ve been thinking lately about how ‘more isn’t always more,’” she wrote.
“If you’re like me, you’re driven to build a beautiful life and it’s so easy to fall into the trap of believing that the biggest, the best, the coolest and MORE of something[…] that’s what it means,” she continued.
The HGTV star then shared that she learned that her happiness doesn’t come from materialistic items, but from a “real connection” with other people.
Jasmine said she’s been talking about it a lot with her husband Brett, with whom she shares 4-year-old daughter Hazel.
WHAT IS THE NEXT?
The couple has been discussing what’s next and how they want to “simplify” their lives together.
“We’re not even talking about just making big changes (although some of those may come too),” she warned.
She added that she wants to “spend more time intentionally, more life.”
“Priorities change, our capabilities change and certainly our goals should change too,” she concluded in the heartfelt note. “It’s okay to pivot and admit that something you really wanted may no longer be your direction.”
After seeing these posts from Jasmine, fans started to wonder if one of the big changes she’s suggesting could mean leaving HGTV.
FANS’ FEARS
One fan on an online forum suggested: “I suppose maybe she’s quitting the show, which is really sad. Anybody know?”
“I would be sad if she stopped doing her show,” a second user wrote online. “She’s one of the best.”
“With a kid and a business, [she] he may want to return to a more private life”, guessed a third fan.
“It would suck if she didn’t show up anymore,” said a fourth fan. “She’s one of the few I still enjoy watching.”
Others went straight to her Instagram to ask questions in her comments about what she meant with her latest posts.
“So I’m going to ask you what’s going on in your life,” asked a fan. “What is changing? What are you insinuating?
“Are you still going to do your show?” asked a second, but she has yet to respond to fans’ concerns about any possible departure from HGTV.
