SPRING Baking Championship fans have alleged that the show is biased and fixed.

Food Network fans are upset that the judges sent home the “best contestant” right before the finale.

The top three were chosen after having a wedding-inspired challenge based on “something borrowed” recipes from contestants Robert and Steven.

Nickey and Alex faced off and only ate one dessert to impress the judges.

Despite Alex being the favorite and showing the most skills all season, the judges thought his cake was too soggy and left it soggy.

Meanwhile, Nickey had a key lime pie, and although the judges felt her dessert wasn’t cohesive, they loved her graham cracker streusel.

They also thought that the passion Nickey put into this earned her a spot in the final, so she was chosen and Alex was sent home.

The Bachelor host Jesse Palmer told Nickey that she made it to the third final.

Nickey said she couldn’t believe it had passed.

“Alex has been my biggest competitor since day one,” she said.

Alex hugged his Spring Baking Championship competitors and said this is something he would never forget.

Nickey, Robert and Steven then took on “something old” given to them by the judges – Duff Goldman, Kardea Brown and Nancy Fuller.

Spring Baking Championship fans slam Food Network’s ‘poor scheduling’ of new episodes, call change ‘what a bummer’

The three will face each other in next week’s final, where the winner will be crowned.

‘FAVORITISM’

Food Network fans were not pleased with the results.

They expressed their opinions on social media, claiming that the judges are biased.

“Why is there no blind judging in the #SpringBakingChampionship? Alex had the most complex dessert, but the prejudice against classically trained French chefs simply had to continue,” wrote one fan.

“#SpringBakingChampionship Dear @FoodNetwork ~ Please do blind tasting and judging for ALL baking championships, especially for the main heat knockout rounds. Judging does not appear to be based on clear standards,” said another.

Funny, how come the best Baker just got kicked out?! The solution is there – it’s always like this… It’s not about the best Baker, but who they want to win… It’s a shame, but I have to stop watching this show. It’s just horrible

“@FoodNetwork please make taste testing blind. The favoritism is obvious. #springbakingchampionship,” added a third.

To this, former Twitter user X responded: “Funny, how come the best Baker just got kicked out?! win… It’s a shame, but I have to stop watching this show.

“Alex got scammed. He was the best baker. #springbakingchampionship,” one last X user tweeted.

“The wrong person went home tonight,” said one Instagram user.

“Maybe next year they should do a blind tasting,” commented another.

COOKING BUMM

This isn’t the first time fans have been upset about the Spring Baking Championship this season.

In March, fans were angered by poor programming.

Two episodes aired that night and viewers were upset because they didn’t want the season to end so quickly.

“I’m just wondering why they’re deciding to air two new episodes a night on Spring Baking Championship?” a fan on Reddit asked.

“What a bummer, it seems like they are just trying to rush this series so they air two a night. They did the same thing with Worst Cooks in America and it was a bummer!”

“It makes everything go by faster – I don’t care about it ,” one fan responded to them.

Spring Baking Championship can be watched on Food Network on Monday nights at 8pm and the next day on Max.
