The Voice 2024 LIVE – Bryan Olesen and Karen Waldrup perform in Top 5, as revealed by next season’s coaches

THE Voice returned on Monday night for the live semi-final show.

Fan favorites Byan Olesen of Team Legend and Karen Waldrup of Team Dan + Shay took the stage to compete for a spot in the Top 5.

“It was hard to choose, but I voted for Bryan Olsen and Karen Waldrup,” shared a viewer on X, formerly Twitter.

“I LOVE KAREN SO MUCH,” another shared.

While we haven’t met our top 5 contestants yet, the new cast for season 26 of The Voice has already been revealed. Coaches John Legend, Chance the Rapper and duo Dan + Shay are leaving the show.

Show veteran Gwen Stefani will return to the red chairs alongside Reba McEntire, as well as newcomers Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé.

  • Past Winners – Bryce Leatherwood

    Bryce Leatherwood was crowned season 22 champion.

    During the competition, he competed with coach Blake Shelton.

    Leatherwood was born in Woodstock and grew up singing and playing the ukulele.

    Since winning the competition, Leatherwood has traveled to various Ole Red venues to play country music.

    He signed with Republic Records and is now focused on moving to Nashville where he plans to continue his music career.

  • Past Winners – Gina Miles

    Team Niall’s Gina Miles won season 23 of The Voice.

    Originally from Paxton, Illinois, she moved to Sacramento shortly before auditioning for the TV series.

    During the blind auditions, Gina impressed judges Kelly Clarkson and Niall Horan with her rendition of Katy Perry’s The One That Got Away.

    She ended up joining Niall’s team, which led to her success on the show.

    Tune into The Voice tomorrow at 8pm ET on NBC to find out which four artists will be sent home.

    The Top 5 will be revealed during tomorrow’s live shows.

    John said his dad texted him this morning and wrote, “Asher is the voice.”

    John couldn’t agree more and said Asher was the best vocalist in the competition.

    His coach, Reba, cried while giving Asher feedback and thanked him for “shining his light.”

    Asher performed a moving rendition of Beyoncé’s hit Irreplaceable.

    He was accompanied by a live band and professional dancers.

    Fans are loving his performance, with one writing on X, formerly Twitter: “Asher is my absolute favorite. Actually obsessed with this person!”

    “Yaaaassss! Asher!!!!! To the left!!!” another wrote.

  • Reba is encouraging Asher with a Beyoncé song

    Asher is going all out by covering Beyoncé’s hit Irreplaceable.

    “I want the audience to feel the electric charge this song brings,” said Asher.

    Asher is honoring his hometown of Selma by performing tonight.

  • ‘That was the final piece of the puzzle’

    Dan told Karen that she proved she could do anything with her version of Stay.

  • Karen Waldrup is taking on Sugarland

    Karen Waldrup is performing Sugarland’s hit Stay for her semi-final performance.

    Dan + Shay want Karen to focus on herself and harness her storytelling ability for this song.

    “I’m grateful they’re taking me out of my comfort zone,” Karen said.

    She’s thinking about her hometown in Louisiana tonight.

  • ‘Patience, subtlety, grace’

    John said Bryan approached the song and each note with “patience, subtlety and grace”.

    Fans are confused as to why a bear joined Madison, Asher, and Serenity on stage.

  • Asher, Madison and Serenity join forces

    Team Reba’s Asher HaVon, Team Dan + Shay’s Madison Curbelo, and Team Chance’s Serenity Arce are joining forces for a special trio performance.

    They are singing Coldplay’s hit Fix You alongside professional lyrical dancers.

    A dancer in a bear costume also joined them on stage.

    John said Nathan’s performance was “amazing” as Nathan’s mother screamed in the crowd.

    Even though Chance the Rapper said the performance was “amazing,” fans think Maddi Jane shouldn’t have chosen a Tate McRae song.

  • Maddi Jane shows love for Chicago

    Maddi Jane’s students, family and fans showed support for the contestant from her hometown of Chicago, Illinois.

    Maddi was also encouraged by her community in Los Angeles, but the singer said she will “always be a Midwestern girl.”

    Maddi is singing Greedy by Tate McRae, which Maddi says is “exactly who she wants to be in the future.”

    The singer is excited to dance on stage, but Chance the Rapper warns her not to “waste” time and show off her voice during the performance.

  • Country trio performs

    Country artists Josh Sanders, Karen Waldrup and Tae Lewis are performing Forever Young to celebrate the upcoming film If.

    At the start of the song, Karen seemed to forget the lyrics and pause – but the contestant quickly recovered and smiled.

  • It’s Serenity Arce’s time to shine

    Serenity Arce, 17, is supported by her school in Jupiter, Florida as she enters the semifinals.

    Serenity is singing a stripped-down version of Ariana Grande’s We Can’t Be Friends.
