At Lakefront Empire, real estate experts take potential buyers to see the best money can buy on Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks.

Many fans didn’t think Lakefront Empire accomplished its mission and took to Reddit to criticize the new show’s style and cast.

“Is anyone watching Lakefront Empire? I’ve been watching HGTV since it aired, I’ve never seen a show where no one finds their new home by the end of the show and future Do the programs ever follow the search for a house?

“What the hell is going on? Makes me think they’re not real buyers. But even if they’re not real buyers, they could pretend they found a house. Does anyone else think that’s so weird?” the original poster wrote.

“It’s horrible. I watched a few episodes and now I change the channel if it’s on. It’s like Million Dollar Listing and Swamp People had a baby TV show,” a second television fan responded.

“It’s so bad that I couldn’t keep watching… when that Realtor I showed her a boat for clients looking for a house, I was away. That was so staged. No one goes from wanting a lake house to living on a boat that quickly,” said a third.

“Definitely one of his weirder shows. I wonder why they chose to move forward with this concept,” mused a fourth social media user.

“Yes. It was so weird and ridiculous that I stopped watching,” one final commenter countered.

‘I HATE THIS’

While viewers have been critical of HGTV’s new show, they recently received some criticism of an older show.

Fans of House Hunters have pointed out a disgusting habit of the show’s guests and begged the network to make a change.

On Reddit, fans were furious with potential buyers who kept the shoes indoors, whether on carpets or in bathtubs and showers.

One person wrote: “I understand you want to see if a shower fits your height, but there are still people living in the houses who are looking.

“Can’t they at least take their shoes off before getting into someone’s shower or bathtub?”

“I absolutely hate this and I actually wrote to HGTV about it, absolutely disgusting and I hope HGTV provides cleanliness for people Cool enough to allow their houses to be shown,” agreed a second.

It’s okay for goals to change. So that the things you wanted (and even worked so hard to get) are no longer the things you are striving for.

“I cringe when a house is shown with carpet and no one takes their shoes off,” said a third.

END OF AN ERA?

While fans have suggested that HGTV change one aspect of House Hunters, viewers of another show are scared that a surprising change could come.

Jasmine Roth is the host of the home improvement show Help! I Wrecked My House, but fans think she might be leaving HGTV.

The star has been sharing many cryptic messages on Instagram, centered around making changes in her life.

“It’s normal for goals to change. That the things you wanted (and even worked so hard to get) are no longer the things you are striving for,” read part of a post from last month.

On a forum for HGTV fans, many interpreted Jasmine’s posts as a sign that she might be quitting the show.

“I suppose maybe she’s quitting the show, which is really sad. Does anyone know?” one fan asked.

“It would suck if she didn’t show up anymore. She’s one of the few I still enjoy watching,” said a second.
