Hours later, the singer — who is the granddaughter of famous country artist Loretta Lynn — reflected on her time on Idol in an Instagram post.

She shared a video of her drinking coffee in her hotel room, wearing a black sweatshirt, shorts, no makeup, glasses and her messy strawberry blonde hair tied in a ponytail.

Emmy thanked her fans for their support during the competition and revealed that she was not surprised by her elimination.

“I just wanted to come here and say thank you so much for all the love and voting,” she began.

“I’m so grateful. Like, I didn’t make the Top 3, but that’s part of it — that was God’s plan.”

NO REGRETS

Emmy continued, “It’s funny because before I was eliminated, I really felt like God told me, ‘Emmy, you won’t be chosen by America, but I chose you.’ And so, there was no sense of ‘Why wasn’t I chosen?’

“I know I was chosen. It’s like every time a boy says, ‘I don’t want to date you anymore,’ and you say, ‘Okay. But I know I’m loved.’

Fans also said goodbye to Tristan Harper, narrowing the group down to three contestants: Jack, Abi Carter and Will Moseley.

Emmy also said in her video, “The whole point of being here is so you can be yourself and be successful; Don’t run away from rejection or pain and face the hard things.”

She concluded by noting that she has no regrets about competing on the show or losing, and mentioned Miley Cyrus’ uplifting lyrics in her song, The Climb.

Top 3 revealed before finale as fans think show is ‘rigged’ for Jack Blocker to win

“Half the time you’ll have to waste. It’s not about how fast you get there, it’s not about what awaits you on the other side, it’s about the climb.”

Emmy fans were left baffled by his elimination, with many claiming the show was rigged to get Jack ahead.

“Am I the only one who thinks everything was always rigged for Jack to win?” a fan asked on X, formerly Twitter.

‘They gave him no in the auditions. The cameramen and others said no, bring him back and then he wins everything to finish the story.’

Another added: “JACK BLOCKERS will win…if an underdog gets that far he usually wins…this show is a joke.”

It came after those who weren’t rooting for Emmy shared their outrage over her being in the Top 5.

“I almost got mad… I think this is an ongoing joke, like… all the good talent keeps going home, because you guys keep voting for her… STOP VOTING FOR THE EMMY, SHE’S NO GOOD!” a user X hit.

“Triston over McKenna on #AmericanIdol is a fraudulent joke. Well, some of the future stars never won!” a second wrote.

WHAT’S TO COME

Sunday marks the season 22 finale, where the winner will be crowned the next American Idol.

It’s also judge Katy Perry’s last episode, as she announced earlier this year that she was leaving after this season.

That leaves the remaining coaches, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, and longtime host Ryan Seacrest, joined by a new judge for season 23.

Katy’s replacement has not yet been revealed.
