FOOD Network has renewed one of its not-so-popular cooking shows for a third season.

Fans were shocked because they thought the show was newsworthy and wouldn’t make it.

Outchef’d is back for another season, according to a press release from Warner Bros. Discovery.

Host Eddie Jackson will be back to surprise amateur home cooks with the challenge of a lifetime.

They think they are taking part in a test, but they are actually facing a world-renowned chef.

The home cook needs at least one vote from the judges, who Eddie picks on the street, to win $5,000.

This season, the home cook will also take home an extra $1,000 for every vote they get.

The new season begins May 30 at 9:30am ET/PT on Food Network.

Season 3 will have 12 episodes.

This season, another twist is that Eddie will compete against a home cook in one episode and Ted Allen will host.

The other chefs competing against home cooks this season are Andrew Zimmern, Maneet Chauhan, Rocco Dispirito, Duff Goldman, Alex Guarnaschelli, Stephanie Izard, Antonia Lofaso, Jeff Mauro, Jet Tila and Michael Voltaggio.

FANS SHOCKED

Reddit users shared the news on the platform and were shocked by the renewal.

“Surprised it was renewed. I got through two episodes but couldn’t stand it after that. So cringeworthy,” said one user.

“I like Eddie on every cooking show he hosts or judges – except this one. The premise of finding supposedly random people to come in and judge someone’s cooking didn’t win me over. , but not the other segments”, said another.

“The format is bad,” added a third.

Other fans said the only part they like about this show is seeing the professional cook.

ALEX’S RETURN

Alex Guarnaschelli will appear on Outchef’d after being fired from The Kitchen earlier this year.

The chef was removed from the show’s website a few weeks after not appearing on The Kitchen for some time.

Alex joined the cooking talk show in 2020 and was joined by co-hosts Sunny Anderson, Jeff Mauro, Katie Lee, Geoffrey Zakarian and Marcela Valladolid.

The kitchen debuts in 2014.

His own show, Alex vs. América, has also not aired since last June.

In addition to Outchef’d, Alex also appeared on Wildcard Kitchen, following his dismissal.

The show is hosted by Eric Adjepong, where he invites chefs to a high-stakes poker game.

Now, fans will be able to see Alex on TV once again.
