How to vote: Text
To vote by text, simply text the contestant’s number to 21523.
Text voting is accessible to all wireless carriers, and standard messaging and data rates may apply.

How to vote: Application
If you are at least 16 years old and reside in the US, Puerto Rico or the US Virgin Islands, you have the opportunity to vote using the American Idol app, accessible on iOS and Android devices.
When you download the app to your device, you will be asked to log in to your ABC account.
If you haven’t created one yet, you can do so by providing an email address.
How to vote: Online
If you are 16 or older and reside in the US, Puerto Rico or the US Virgin Islands, you have the option to vote online through the ABC website.
To do this, you will need an ABC account, which you can create by providing your email address.
Voting for the next American Idol
American Idol offers three voting methods: online, via the app, and by text.
Each week, viewers can cast up to 10 votes for each contestant through each voting method.
This means you can vote for your favorite contestant 10 times online, 10 times via the app and 10 times via text, for a total of 30 votes.
If you decide to change your votes, you can reallocate them until the end of the online and in-app voting period.
Simply click “save” after each edit to confirm your changes.
What to expect tonight
The live premiere of the American Idol season 22 finale is scheduled for Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 8pm EST/5pm PST on ABC.
Billboard has confirmed that Jon Bon Jovi will serve as a guest mentor for the finale.
Additionally, special performances are expected from Nick Fradiani, New Kids On The Block, Jason Mraz, Hootie And The Blowfish, Cece Winans, James Bay, Wynonna Judd, Seal, Bishop Briggs and Cody Johnson.
