However, Jack’s journey on the show came to an end when he was announced as the third runner-up.

During his final night on the singing competition show, fans got a glimpse of Jack revisiting his hometown of Dallas, Texas before the finale and how beloved he is in the community.

He even received a special message from the owner of the Dallas Mavericks, Mark Cuban, and was able to perform at halftime of the basketball team’s game.

“It’s a dream come true,” Jack said as he looked around the massive arena.

To give a special message to his hometown, he sang All My Exes Live In Texas by George Strait.

After America sent in their votes, host Ryan Seacrest, 49, announced that Jack wasn’t in the final two – and fans were shocked.

‘AMERICA SUCKS AT THE VOTE’

On X, formerly Twitter, fans shared their disappointment.

“Jack Blocker didn’t win???? America sucks at voting (minus Kelly Clarkson’s win),” wrote one viewer.

“Disappointed with Jack leaving. Although often singers who don’t win do very well in their careers. We wish him the best,” said another.

A third tweeted: “Jack Blocker is by far the best singer and artist of this trio.”

Who is American Idol finalist Jack Blocker?

“I really don’t even mind watching the ending now that Jack is out,” said a fourth viewer.

“Jack Blocker is out and so am I! Good luck to Abi and Will, but 3 hours is a long time,” someone else wrote.

“Jack was robbed!” declared a sixth with another saying: “Will is good but Jack is the real deal!”

A seventh American Idol fan said: “Will over Jack is comical. Good night.”

KATY’S FINAL ARC

As the finale wound down, Katy Perry couldn’t keep her eyes dry as Sunday would be her final appearance on American Idol as a judge.

The pop singer was a judge on the show for seven seasons.

This season, she sat alongside Lionel Richie, 74, and Luke Bryan, 47.

In February, the Firework hitmaker made the revelation during an interview with Jimmy Kimmel.

“This fall, in September, I’m doing a big music festival in Brazil called Rock in Rio,” she said.

“So I think this will probably be my last season on Idol.

“I mean, I love Idol so much. It connected me to the heart of America, but I need to feel the pulse of my own beat.”

Ryan also shared his thoughts on Katy’s departure.

“(Katy) brought incredible generosity and love and a big heart, that kind of spirit to the show,” the host revealed to Fox News.
