REAL Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga has gotten herself into hot water with fans after making a shocking claim about her marriage.
The Bravo star recently spoke to Extra, where she stated that her marriage to her husband, Joe, 44, is the network’s “longest-running.”

It came after reporter Billy Bush asked Melissa, 45, if she would make the first move and contact her sister-in-law and RHONJ co-star Teresa Giudice, 52, amid their ongoing feud.
He mentioned Teresa’s daughter Milania’s recent car accident and how checking in on the teen could be a starting point for the family to make amends.
However, Melissa ruled out the possibility of the pair reconciling and spoke about the events that happened before Teresa’s wedding to her husband, Luis Ruelas, 49, which escalated the feud.
She then criticized Teresa and Luis’ relationship, saying they only knew each other for “a minute” before getting married, which led her to mention her own happy marriage.

“I’m going to be married for 20 years in August, have three children. Happily married, we are Bravo’s longest-running couple, Joe and I,” said Melissa.
CAUGHT IN A LIE?
The video made the rounds on social media, where fans criticized Melissa for falsely claiming that her marriage lasted longer than other Bravo stars.
“But it’s not a fact! Not even close,” one person criticized X, formerly Twitter.
“Older? Wouldn’t that be Dr. Simone & Cecil, LVP & Ken?” another suggested, mentioning RHOC star Cecil Whitmore and her husband Dr. Simone, who have been married for nearly three decades, and RHOBH alum Lisa Vanderpump and her husband Ken Todd, who have been married for over 40 years.

The family has been at odds for years and their seemingly never-ending fight has been a major storyline throughout the series.
