BACHELORETTE star Trista Sutter has returned home to her family after leaving them for weeks to do some soul searching.
The ABC alum left fans concerned for her well-being after her husband posted several worrying posts on social media about her absence.
Trista, 51, returned to her family over Memorial Day weekend for a beach getaway with her husband Ryan, 49, and sons Maxwell and Blakesley.
The Bachelorette Season 1 lead shared a black-and-white photo of his family gathered on his Instagram profile.
In the photo, the reality stars smiled broadly, Ryan with a snorkel mask on his head and Blakesley with one covering his face.
Meanwhile, Maxwell smiled softly from behind, and his mother opened her mouth in a wide smile as she threw a peace sign in the air.

The whole family donned swimsuits as they enjoyed a beach day together.
Ryan captioned the post: “They say absence makes the heart grow fonder… We discovered it’s true. It also makes the heart more grateful, more supportive, more grateful for what someone does for you, with you, by your side.”
“It brings questions, wonder and concern and then answers, peace and celebration. It brought time for reflection, for projects, prayer and independence, but mainly it brought joy in its completion.
“True joy. And that’s what it’s all about… Welcome back @tristasutter We miss you… #love#love #reunitedanditfeelssogood,” he signed off.
FAN BACKWARD
Fans were shocked to see that Trista was back with her family after two weeks of “cryptic” posts about her absence.
“So all this drama for nothing but attention,” one asked with several eye-rolling emojis.
“Middle-age. It’s difficult, it’s wonderful, it’s a shock”, observed a second.
“The happy reunion I knew would come!” a third supported it.
“Beautiful! Can’t wait to hear all about @tristasutter’s adventure! Love, love, love, love!!!!” a fourth commented.
“She’s filming a reality show. She’s not dead! You’re so dramatic for no reason!!!” a fifth complained.
“I’ve admired you both since the bachelorette party, but you need to STOP sharing your personal business on social media.
“Just keep things between the two of you and then you won’t have to deal with explanations. It’s not like any of us on this side of the screen can do anything for you,” another said.
“I hope you two learned a lesson and move on with your lives in a more private manner. Don’t try so hard to be relevant, this anonymity is what we like about you”, they added.
MISSING MOTHER
Trista and Ryan first sparked concerns on May 11 when the TV personality shared another black and white photo, this time of just his wife.
In the photo, the reality star looked away from the camera and towards the ocean, again wearing a bikini.
The mother-of-two’s hair was tied up in a messy bun and she showed off her fit figure in the tiny suit.
Ryan captioned the post: “They say absence makes the heart grow fonder. I can only think of a few days when I didn’t at least speak to this incredible woman.
“She is the love of my life and my best friend. I can’t imagine loving her more or fonder. But I guess we’ll find out… I miss her already. #love@tristasutter#nowomannocry,” he wrote.
FAN CONCERNS
Fans were shocked by the announcement, rushing to the comments section to check on Trista’s well-being.
“Where she went?” one asked, while a second wondered: “Why do people talk cryptically? What’s going on?”
A few days later, on Mother’s Day, Ryan shared another family photo, this time a throwback.
The black and white image showed the four posing together in front of a natural backdrop.
The former Bachelorette lead smiled in a puff-sleeved blouse with a pearl necklace and aviator sunglasses.
She wore her hair down as she hugged her husband.
Ryan, in a linen shirt and black sunglasses, smiled, and the children stood on either side with soft smiles.
RYAN’S WORDS
He wrote in the caption, “I know you wish you were here on Mother’s Day. We wish you were too. But sometimes being a mom means letting go of your hands, granting independence, and nurturing your courageous spirit.”
“Sometimes it is necessary to exemplify the characteristics you preach – to do rather than say. Sometimes it takes being uncomfortable and scared to show them that it’s okay to be uncomfortable and scared.
“Sometimes you have to leave to let them know that you will come back, that your love is not limited by distance, difficulty or time.
“We are proud of you mom pajamas for everything you do for us, near or far, Happy Mother’s Day!!!#love#family.”
‘VERY DRAMATIC!’
The words sparked even more concerns about Trista, as one follower wrote in the comments section: “What is going on here?
“Seriously, she’s not dead. Apparently Trista is going away for a few weeks for a reality show. Think about the spouses who actually lost their partner,” a second complained.
“Or those who are serving in the military outside the country. You two are exaggerated,” they scolded.
“Very dramatic! What’s the matter?” a third asked.
A few days later, Ryan shared another post, this time a black and white selfie of him and Trista on the beach.
He captioned the post: “I really wish I could talk to you. Ask you how you are? How was your day. I really wish I could hear your voice – just for a minute.”
“So many times I called without much to say, without realizing how lucky I was or how much I would miss the opportunity if it disappeared.
“I want to know how you are. I want to support and encourage and root for you. I want to be there for you. But I can’t. And that’s okay, because I know you need this time – time to discover yourself again.
“So instead, I’ll be here to help you. I’ll be here when you get back. I’ll be here to listen to you, to smile with you, maybe cry with you – I’ll be here to love you… I’ll be here… forever. #love.”
SECURITY CONCERNS
Fan concerns soared, with many wondering if Trista was safe.
“Trista died? Oh my god,” one gasped, while a second said: “What’s going on, are they broken up and having problems? I hope not and they work things out in a great love story.”
“I’m very confused by what happened here, I don’t understand,” admitted a third.

MESSAGE FROM TRISTA
Then, upon her return, Trista addressed her absence and her husband’s posts about her disappearance.
“Wow, guys. Can’t a girl have a nervous breakdown/trial separation/midlife crisis/death/divorce in peace around here?!” she teased.
“In all seriousness, to those involved, I am safe and sound, happy and healthy, in love and grateful. For those who prefer to focus on being critical and looking too hard for the darkness, good luck with that.”
Trista explained that “an opportunity for perspective and personal growth presented itself and with the unconditional support of my family and friends, I chose myself and improved, knowing that my job as a housewife and my children are at the end of the year. the needs of the school year were in the best and most capable hands.”
She added, “We look at Instagram like a digital diary. Most of the time, the world doesn’t pay much attention. This time, he couldn’t say anything right and almost every media outlet picked up his ‘cryptic/pictures and captions. confusing/attention-seeking/dramatic.
“For me, they gave me exactly what my Words of Affirmation love language needed to help me overcome serious doubts and fears… and that’s all that matters.”
Trista was runner-up on the first season of The Bachelor, leading to her being selected as the first Bachelorette.
She and her chosen partner on the show, Ryan, married in December 2003.
