She continued: “His father would be out of town on the real Mother’s Day for work and they wanted to get the family together and chose to do it at a cafe in the park.
“It turns out this was all a ploy to get me there. I was completely surprised when he got down on one knee and I was so happy that our families were witnessing it from afar and were able to celebrate with brunch afterwards!”
According to the outlet, the couple’s wedding plans are “still in progress.”

“I started dancing when I was 2 years old and I had no idea that it would be my last performance. So I look back and I’m kind of sad. I really miss it, which is weird,” Brooke told the outlet.
She continued, “Watching the show, you could tell I wasn’t really there. I wanted to do other things. So I finally did it, which made me happy.”
Paige said, “I think it’s crazy that that was the last time I danced. I came out with a bang.”
When was Brooke’s mother Kelly Hyland diagnosed with breast cancer?
On May 29, 2024, AND! News reported that Kelly was diagnosed with breast cancer after she discovered a lump in her breast in late March 2024.
“I booked myself a mammogram. I had just had one eight months earlier and the results were clean. However, this new mammogram and ultrasound didn’t work, it came back showing a mass.”
The mother of three was diagnosed with stage 1, grade 3 invasive carcinoma, “which means her breast cancer is progressing very quickly,” according to the outlet.
Kelly’s children – Brooke, Paige and Josh Hyland – are supporting her through this difficult time.
“I’m very hopeful that it’s just the first stage, I feel like she caught on quickly. I know my mom is strong enough to get through this,” Josh told E! News.
“The second I was reunited with my mother, I remembered exactly who she is and my fears started to disappear. She is the strongest woman I know and I am confident that she will get through this and I will be there every step of the way. She has so much love and support by her side!” Brooke said.
“This will be a long and challenging year, but if anyone can end cancer, I’m sure it will be my mother!” Paige told the publication.
