HOLLYWOOD actress Anna Kendrick is rumored to star in US series The Traitors.
Presented by Scottish actor Alan Cumming, the American version is also filmed at Ardross Castle in the Highlands, and the upcoming series will be a celebrity version, featuring Kendrick as the contract star.
The news was released on social media site X, via the Super TV news account, saying:
“Anna Kendrick is currently at The Traitors Castle in Scotland, among several other influencers, filming the promotion for The Traitors USA with Peacock.”
As an Oscar-nominated actress, Kendrick, 38, would be a great addition to the show after gaining worldwide attention for her role in the Pitch Perfect Film series.
She also had a supporting role in the Twilight Saga alongside Robert Pattinson and in the comedies What to Expect When You’re Expecting and the voice of Poppy in the Trolls films.
News of her involvement comes after we revealed that pal legend Courteney Cox is also being eyed for a role in the show’s celebrity spin-off.
The 59-year-old sitcom star, a friend of Claudia Winkleman, donned the famous traitor’s hood and appeared with Claudia, 52, in a sketch video to encourage people to sign up.
But BBC bosses are also hoping Claudia’s friendship with Courtney could convince the star to get involved in a celebrity spin-off.
In fact, after the previous season 2 series, where the finale peaked at 6.9 million viewers that night, a celebrity version is looking increasingly likely.
Courteney – who played Monica Geller in US sitcom Friends – was seen last month with her Snow Patrol partner Johnny McDaid, having lunch in Mayfair, London, with Claudia and her husband, film producer Kris Thykier.
WHO COULD STAR IN THE CELEBRITY CHEATING SPINOFF?

While Anna Kendrick looks set to star in the American version, which of our famous faces could be sitting at the table?
Courteney Cox- The Friends is the first celebrity to sign up for Celebrity Traitors.
“The fact that producers have a Friends star in their sights shows the kind of famous faces Celebrity Traitors targets,” a source told The Sun.
Rebekah Vardy-Wagatha Christie’s rivals Rebekah Vardy and Coleen Rooney are being sought by celebrity cheaters.
“Bosses want big names as the show is getting huge ratings, and they know they will be spoiled for choice as The Traitors has big fans in the showbiz world,” a source previously told The Sun.
Coleen Rooney- Following her public court battle with Rebekah Vardy, The Sun claims TV bosses think Coleen could be a great addition to celebrity cheaters.
Coleen is also a household name, having been married to former English footballer Wayne Rooney since 2008.
Alison Hammond – The new queen of daytime television, Alison Hammond, is rumored to be taking part in a celebrity version of the BBC One show.
Hammond found fame when she competed on the third season of Big Brother in 2002. She may have been the second housemate to be evicted, but she became a TV regular.
She now co-hosts The Great British Bake Off alongside Noel Fielding and frequently appears as a presenter on This Morning.
