ACTRESS Chloë Sevigny has seemingly responded to the backlash over the Variety cover she shot with Kim Kardashian.
The publication on Monday released the covers for its Actors on Actors issue, which features the two American Horror Story stars.
After the photos were shared on Variety’s Instagram, followers criticized Kim, 43, for being included alongside other Hollywood actors.
Chloë, 49, has now spoken out about the Cape, resharing the post to your own Instagram Stories.
“It’s always good to be included. Thank you @variety,” she wrote.
The photo showed Kim and Chloë wearing all-black outfits as they posed side by side with their hands on their hips.

Other cover stars included Robert Downey Jr., Jennifer Aniston, Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Brie Larson, Jodie Foster, Joey King, Andrew Scott, Naomi Watts, Quinta Brunson, Taylor Zakhar Perez and Tom Hiddleston.
Kim, who solidified her place in reality television alongside her famous family, entered the world of scripted acting last year.
The Skims founder played Siobhan on FX’s American Horror Story: Delicate and is in talks with producer Ryan Murphy about helming her own show in the future.
However, many people thought its inclusion on the cover was a “joke” and was being used as “clickbait”.
“What an insult to the many trained, hard-working actors who DO THE REAL WORK! To say this is shameful is an understatement,” criticized one person in the comments.
“Beyond disrespectful to Chloë,” wrote a second, while a third said: “Kim K is not an actress! She doesn’t belong in this space!”
“Having Kim K here is embarrassing…” a fourth commented.
“When you’re talking about acting and you mention Robert Downey Jr. and Jodie Foster, you can’t mention Kim K!” another added.
The Kardashians star received similar criticism when she was first named as one of the stars of AHS: Delicate.
The season 12 promotional video, released last April, had fans believing that Kim would “ruin the show” after seeing her name come up.
“Turn it off, man. I’m begging you,” one person shot back.
“Congratulations, new way to ruin this show…” a second agreed.
“Why! Why ruin a good thing, Ryan??!! A Kardashian… I hope it’s a small part,” wrote another.
Ryan, however, defended his casting choice.
“Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family,” he said. The Hollywood Reporter.
In December 2023, Kim and Ryan announced that they were teaming up again on a new Hulu project.
The TV star will play Los Angeles’ most successful divorce lawyer, who owns an all-female law firm.
Jon Robin Baitz, creator of Brothers & Sisters, will be responsible for writing the upcoming legal drama.
