On X, formerly Twitter, Bravo fan account @nosmokenomore gathered some bad ones Yelp assessments.

“Holy shit! The reviews for Jax and Brittany’s sports bar are so bad,” the caption read.

“I came for the beer cheese and was very disappointed. This is just Rocco’s menu with meemaw’s thick beer cheese added to it,” read one critical review.

“Even the takeout boxes said Rocco’s, so it’s obvious that Jax doesn’t own this place. I don’t know what I expected, but for the price I paid, I expected the food to be at least edible.”

Another post said: “Jax is having to push himself because of the lack of customers. The flag for me was picnic tables, not a place to dress up and go out.

“The atmosphere is confusing, actually uncomfortable. Show up after yard work for nachos and a beer garden is the way to go.”

“The beer cheese was disgusting. The ‘bar’ is just a covered tent in the backyard. They also CHANGE THEIR KIDS’ DIAPER ON THE SAME SURFACES THEY SERVE FOOD AND DRINK ON,” complained a third reviewer.

Each review brought with it a one-star rating.

The last comment made reference to a video that circulated on social media of Jax, 44, and his ex-wife, Brittany Cartwright, 35, changing their toddler son Cruz’s diaper at the bar.

LOOKING AT THIS

Following the video, as well as written complaints about diaper changing at Jax’s Studio City, a health inspector was called in to investigate.

According to documents obtained exclusively by The US Sun, the complaint was made in April 2024.

The complaint stated that “Jax Taylor, owner of Jax’s Studio City,” was seen “changing baby diapers on top of a bar where food and drinks are served.”

An investigation was opened on April 16.

Once completed, the inspector shared his report: “The complaint was not addressed. No one on the premises was changing diapers at the bar at the time of the inspection.

The Valley Cast

Vanderpump Rules spin-off The Valley has attracted fans with its drama-filled episodes and fun cast. The reality series, which airs on Bravo, features some familiar faces from VPR and others as they manage their work and personal lives in California. Here’s the cast of The Valley:

Jesse Lally, 44: Michelle Lally’s ex-husband, who is from Boston and is now a luxury real estate agent in Los Angeles

Michelle Lally, 35: ex-wife of Jesse Lally, born and raised in Beverly Hills and works as a real estate agent

Janet Caperna, 34: wife of Jason Caperna, who is from Ohio and previously worked as an executive assistant

“I discussed with the owner that employees and customers are not allowed to change baby diapers at the bar counter or tables.

“It is the owner’s responsibility to enforce this. The owner has demonstrated understanding.”

The complaint was then closed and no further action was taken.

Jax’s The Valley co-star, Jasmine Goode, posted the video in question on social media.

It didn’t seem like she had any bad intentions when sharing the video.

Still, fans criticized Jax and Brittany for what they saw as unsanitary behavior.

“Apparently, according to the Valley team, ‘adulting’ is changing your child’s diaper in the middle of a restaurant while you yell at each other,” one person posted on social media in response to the clip.

Another posted: “I need someone to tell me that these two ‘parents’ are not changing a 3 year old’s dirty diaper on the surface of a bar, in a restaurant that serves food in public view/with customers. it can not be.”

BEER CHEESE THROWBACK

Before the diaper drama, Jax’s was hit with a complaint about the couple’s homemade beer cheese, which became famous during their time at VPR.

Food should be served with a hot pretzel.

One whistleblower alleged that the beer cheese was “made off-site” but sold in the restaurant and that the “kitchen doesn’t even have a recipe for allergies.”

The Department of Health launched an investigation with the employee noting that there was “a container of beer cheese stored in the refrigerator” and an “invoice was provided for the cheese spread.”

The official added: “At the time of the investigation, the manager stated that the beer cheese is made on site.

“The manager did not have a recipe card for the beer cheese, but informed the Environmental Health Specialist that the beer cheese is made with cheddar cheese spread that is purchased on Amazon or Angie’s Wholesale.”

“According to the manager, the chef is responsible for making the beer cheese and preparing it by adding dry seasoning mix and beer to the cheese spread,” the inspector continued.

The complaint has been closed.

Jax’s Studio City shares a kitchen with Rocco’s Tavern, a bar located next door.

The Vale star’s bar underwent a full inspection on April 16, 2024, when the inspector investigated the diaper issue.

Jax’s and Rocco’s received a critical violation, which was “compliance with shelf stock, condition and display labels.”

This means that the containers storing seafood have not been properly maintained.

The inspector’s report ordered owners to “maintain shellfish certification labels with the original container until empty, and then maintain the labels in chronological order on the premises for a period of no less than 90 days from the date of harvest.” .

The training was given after the public official observed that the restaurant was “discarding labels for mussels after each batch and not keeping them on the premises for 90 days.”

A reinspection took place on May 1, 2024, and the inspector found that the violations had been corrected.
