From a $2,000 model boat to a nearly $3,000 vintage refrigerator, The US Sun can exclusively reveal that well-heeled shoppers stopping by Le Claire will have a huge selection of curated antiques to “pick from.”

EXPENSIVE CHOICES

Located on Davenport Street, just steps from the Mississippi River, the Antique Archeology Iowa store’s all-brick exterior houses thousands of antiques — plus American Pickers products.

Some of the more expensive items available include a $4,000 vintage Heath aircraft engine, a $2,300 U.S. flag carnival boat and a $2,700 Dr. Pepper cooler.

The engine, although it had some rust, appeared to be in great shape, with the patina expected from such an old, all-metal piece.

The model boat looked almost new, with its metal body and light blue paint looking almost fresh, which it didn’t when it was on store shelves.

The beverage cooler, although showing some light wear, has retained its original mint green color.

The “Drink Dr. Pepper” label is fully intact with its lettering and slogan, “Good For Life”, appearing to be printed on a brick background.

It even comes with a Dr. Pepper bottle opener attached to the outside.

Another expensive item is Cerasoli’s Pilot Television board, which will cost the buyer $3,200.

The yellow printing and logo on the blue painted plate still appear in good condition.

Positioned in front of a wooden store merchandise table is another vintage sign – this one advertising Ford Motor Company’s “Cars, Trucks and Tractors.”

The mint-condition sign costs $8,000, with its white “Sales and Service” lettering on the classic Ford blue background looking pristine.

An old wooden Wurlitzer jukebox, with its carved panel details, cost $625, and a Rock-Ola slot machine would set the customer back a pretty penny at $1,200.

The shooting machine, or fruit machine as it is sometimes called, is housed in an all-metal case, with the images of the fruit on its spinning reels still visible through a glass window.

An “ornate lantern” starts at $1,400.

The all-metal lantern looks like something out of a Sherlock Holmes novel, although the year it was made was not specified on the price tag.

MORE AFFORDABLE ITEMS

Ancient Archeology is not just marketed to wealthy customers, as the store also has items available for the average shopper.

An assortment of matchbooks can be purchased for $3 each, while – if a customer has some extra cash – a small “Drink Schlitz” beer sign will cost around $300.

Various signals can be obtained for varying prices and for the motorheads, a vintage Whippet Oil can be purchased for $595.

POINT OF SALES

Mike routinely promotes items available in his antique stores, sharing photos and videos of new items on social media.

Recently, Mike advertised a $7,500 vintage neon beer sign.

Mike Wolfe Business

Mike Wolfe has created a business empire with real estate, antique stores and more.

The Ancient Archeology Instagram account has been uploaded multiple snapshots of a vintage sign.

Blatz beer was produced from 1851 to 1959 by the Valentin Blatz Brewing Company.

The Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based brewery was acquired by Pabst Brewing Company, maker of Pabst Blue Ribbon, in 1959, and is now brewed by Miller Brewing Company.

The photos captured different angles of the neon sign, an enlarged version of the Blatz logo with white letters on a red and blue background.

The post’s caption read: “New neon sign added to our Large Antique online collection!

“Fresh from Wisconsin, this legendary Blatz neon porcelain is beautiful. Imagine this sucker lit up! You have to wonder why one side of it needs a neon doctor.”

The caption then provided a bit of history, stating: “Since 1851, Blatz Brewing Co. has been one of the biggest names in beer brewed in the United States. A must-have for anyone interested in the history of beer.

“Handpicked by @mikewolfeamericanpicker and priced to sell at $7,500. This sign is 8.2″ x 3.1″ x 20′ and is currently available at our LeClaire, IA location.”
