GOLDEN Bachelor’s Theresa Nist has yet to respond to ex Gerry Turner’s divorce petition, The US Sun can exclusively reveal.
Gerry, 72, filed for divorce from Theresa, 70, on April 12, 2024, in the state of Indiana, after three months of marriage.

The first Golden Bachelor has called for an end to his marriage due to an “irretrievable breakdown” of their union.
The only documentation Theresa has signed, according to court documents obtained by The US Sun, is a joint stipulation, informing the court that she agrees the divorce should be handled in Indiana, not New Jersey, where she resides.
Furthermore, she acknowledged having received the initial requests for divorce proceedings, including the request for dissolution of the marriage.
To date, however, she has not yet filed her response to Gerry’s petition.

The latest application dates back to April 15, when the father of two submitted a change of address, telling the court that he had written the wrong home address in the initial application.
The US Sun can also reveal that Theresa did not secretly file a separation petition for dissolution in New Jersey, as some celebrity couples have filed for divorce twice.
She also appears to be self-represented at this time, as no attorney was listed in her divorce against Gerry.
BUSY IN NEW JERSEY
Theresa appears to be preoccupied with other aspects of her life besides moving forward with her divorce – something she can fill out the paperwork for online.
The senior compliance professional was recently seen in her hometown smiling while talking to someone on the phone.
According to her social media photos, Theresa has been spending time with her loved ones while posting photos of her dining at an Italian restaurant and hanging out in Long Branch with her grandchildren.
She’s also been focused on revamping her backyard since posting about how gardening is a “joy in my life” and “feeds my body, mind and soul.”
“It’s meditative and energizing at the same time. And early in the morning and at the end of the day you can walk or sit and relax and enjoy its beauty,” she captioned a series of Photos.
SHORT-LIFE ROMANCE
Gerry and Theresa announced their decision to separate on Good Morning America on April 12, the same day he filed for divorce.
Fans were surprised by the unexpected announcement after watching the televised wedding on Jan. 4, which was attended by The Bachelor and The Bachelorette alums.

Theresa and Gerry were married in January live on ABC. Four months later, the two announced that they were divorcing.
The now-former couple admitted to GMA that they couldn’t make their long-distance romance work.
“Theresa and I had several heart-to-heart conversations and took a hard look at our living situation,” shared Gerry.
“We have come to the mutual decision that it is probably time for us to dissolve our marriage.”
They were originally planning a move to South Carolina, but never made a decision about their future home.
“I still love this person, I have no doubt. I root for her every day”, he confessed.
The former restaurateur lives in a $637,000 lake house in Hudson, Indiana, while the mother of two lives in a humble $568,000 home in Shrewsbury, NJ.
Theresa took to her Instagram a few days after sharing the news to post about having “one of the most incredible experiences” of her life, despite the short-lived romance.
“I really thought it would last forever. Turns out, even at 70, you don’t know everything,” she captioned her post.

Theresa was proposed during the finale of The Golden Bachelor, which aired in November 2023.
She was the last survivor after Gerry sent home 21 senior contestants.
His ex-girlfriends, Kathy Swarts and Susan Noles, made it clear which side they were on in the divorce.
During a recent episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour: Golden Hour podcast, the hosts claimed that Gerry “became frustrated” with Theresa because she refused to move or give up her job.
“Gerry made a big mistake – let me emphasize a big mistake. He could have gotten Susan. He could have gotten me,” Kathy said.
“Gerry is a great guy. Theresa is a lovely lady, you know, it happens. Sorry, it happens,” she added.
“We like them both, but you know, I’m sorry, you know someone for a month or six weeks and these things happen.”
Meanwhile, another of Gerry’s exes, Joan Vassos, will soon have another chance at love as her journey begins as the first Golden Bachelorette.
The Bachelor spinoff series is expected to air this fall, but ABC has not yet announced a premiere date.
