MERI Brown opened up about her changing relationship with her former sisters, Christine and Janelle Brown.
The TLC personality confessed that she isn’t as close to them as she was before her split from Kody Brown.
Meri appeared in a recent episode of Miss Understood Podcastwhere she opened up about her relationship with her Sister Wives co-stars.
She revealed that she doesn’t talk to Christine, 52, Janelle, 55, and Robyn, 45, as much as she used to.
Although everyone is focusing on their own things, Meri noted that they are friendly when they see each other.
“When I see them we have cordial conversations, but I don’t look for them to have a relationship,” she said.
“I feel like we’ve had a lot of time to be able to do this, and in the past — a little over a year since I split, when Kody and I broke up and broke up — I’ve had a lot of things I’m working on myself.”
“I think it’s really really important to be surrounded by people who really encourage that,” she said.
The Sister Wives star confessed that it was difficult for her to accept that separating from her family was right for her.
Meri grew up polygamous and said on the podcast that she didn’t know a life outside of it before.
“I think for many years I thought, wait a second, we’re a family, we really need to be together,” she explained.
“But I also look at my own family where I come from and I have my own brothers that I talk to every day. talk at funerals and weddings.”
Meri noted in her interview that Janelle and Christine have a different bond and she is not bitter.
“I think it’s amazing that Janelle and Christine are close,” she said.
“They didn’t exist when we were all together – they didn’t exist all these years – so whatever made them come together like this now, I think it’s great.”

Janelle lost her son Garrison on March 5th.
He was found dead inside his home in Tucson, Arizona.
Meri shared a tribute to Garrison on Instagram a month after his death.
The post included an old photo of the 25-year-old from 2018.
In the image, the TV personality was outside with Garrison in what appeared to be Arizona, with their arms around each other.
Meri wore a black and white patterned shirt with a blue sweater and a full face of makeup.
Her blonde hair was styled in beachy waves.
Garrison, however, smiled widely.
He was wearing a blue and white shirt with roses all over it.
Meri included a long, heartfelt caption on her post, noting that seeing the photo “brought her to tears.”
“Looking through my phone tonight for something completely unrelated, I came across this old photo of me and Garrison from 2018. A photo I didn’t remember having and one I will treasure forever,” she wrote.
“Seeing him immediately brought me to tears, a testament to the love I have for him, the pain of losing him. It’s a reminder that pain comes in unexpected waves, the memories of moments with him are all that’s left.
“Four weeks today without him here with us. A lifetime of memories to keep sacred,” she concluded.
Garrison died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
His 22-year-old brother, Gabriel, was reportedly the person who found him.
He was deceased at the time.
Janelle confirmed the tragic news in an Instagram post.
“Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown,” she wrote.
“He was a bright spot in the lives of everyone who knew him.
“Your loss will leave a hole in our lives so big it will leave us breathless. We ask that you respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory,” he said.
