THE Elimination Rounds have concluded on The Voice, and the coaches have whittled down their teams.

Coaches have been tasked with pitting their team members against each other, and fans are accusing John Legend of making the wrong decision.

Fan favorite Gene Taylor lost the heat to Mafe and was eliminated from the competition.

Fans are outraged by his departure, with one writing on X, formerly Twitter: “There’s no denying that Gene Taylor had one of the best voices this season.”

Another praised Gene’s version of Aerosmith’s I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing, writing, “Gene Taylor swings for the fences, such a high-pitched vocal but sounds very grounded. His stage moves are interesting, working. Hitting those big notes with ease. What a showman!”

The playoffs begin next week on NBC’s The Voice. You can also stream the show with subscriptions to Peacock here, Sling here, FuboTV here, and Hulu Live here.

  • More about Playoff Pass

Similar to the save pass that allows a contestant to remain safe from elimination, the Playoff Pass fast-tracks a contestant into The voice competition.

The Playoff Pass allows the coach the opportunity to save and send the chosen singer straight to the playoffs.

By doing so, the contestant can skip the Elimination Round.

However, the Playoff Pass can only be used once during Battle Rounds.

Once Battles are over, each coach will have six artists, including the chosen contestant who moved on to the Playoff Round.

  • Next week on The Voice

The coaches have defined their teams and are ready to take them to the Playoffs.

The Playoffs are the last round before the live shows, when the power passes from the coaches to America.

Tune in next week to The Voice on NBC to see who makes it through.

But the road isn’t over for Jackie!

  • Zoe is singing to her cowboy

  • Jackie’s got love on the brain

Jackie is singing her version of Rihanna’s soulful track Love on the Brain.

Zoe is singing Cowboy Take Me Away by The Chicks. “This song is right in my sweet spot,” she told John and Keith.

The song reminds her of singing with her family during a backyard jam session.

  • And Chance chose…

    RLETTO!

    “He’s a world-class talent,” Chance said.

Alyssa Crosby’s journey on The Voice is now over.

  • RLETTO performs unique interpretation

RLETTO took a risk by completely changing the arrangement of Justin Bieber and Kid LAROI’s hit, Stay.

He turned the pop song into a slow R&B ballad.

“You could give a master class,” Shay told him.

  • Alyssa takes the stage

Alyssa took the stage for her Elton John cover.

She took a deep breath before smiling at her trainer, Chance.

Alyssa hopes to prove that Chance didn’t make a mistake by using his robbery against her.

  • RLETTO vs.

RLETTO and Alyssa Crosby are competing in the next Elimination Round for a spot on Team Chance.

Chance stole Alyssa during battles, so this is their first time working together.

RLETTO is singing Stay by Justin Bieber and Kid LAROI. He’s turning the pop-rock hit into a ballad.

  • And Reba chose…

    Justin and Jeremiah!

Zeya is ending her journey on The Voice.

Reba chose Justin and Jeremy because of their “uniqueness.”

  • ‘Man, that was fire’

“Man, that was fire,” Chance told the artists. He noted that Zeya seemed nervous at the beginning of her performance, but praised her ability to find herself and overcome her nerves.

“You guys can work on being a little more in sync,” John told Justin and Jeremy.

Dan + Shay added that they would pick Justin and Jeremy as the winners.

  • Zeya shines with tough cover

Zeya shined on stage during her Knockout performance, both literally and figuratively.

She graced the stage in a sparkly pantsuit to give a powerful rendition of Bishop Briggs’ River.

Zeya showed her ability to belt and hit high notes.

  • Justin and Jeremy vs.

Justin and Jeremy are kicking off the Elimination Round with Calum Scott’s You Are the Reason.

The song is dedicated to their brotherly bond and they showcase their impressive harmonies.

  • Team Reba is next

Justin and Jeremy Garcia are competing against Zeya Rae for a spot on Team Reba.

Reba told Jeremy he needs to “stay in the moment” and Justin needs to learn to “smile with his eyes.”

Mega Mentor Keith Urban helped them find the right tone for their high note. The pair are singing a Calum Scott song for their Knockout performance.

Zeya is singing River by Bishop Briggs. The song is about empowerment and Zeya dedicates it to her mother, who raised Zeya alone.

“Order your lyrics and start marking your breathing,” Reba advised. Keith repeated similar advice.

  • And Dan + Shay chose…

    Karen!

Ducote’s journey on The Voice has come to an end.

  • Who will Dan + Shay choose?

Dan + Shay must choose between Ducote and Karen to remain on the team.

Chance compared Karen’s vocals to Celine Dion and said she got the knockout punch.

    However, Reba praised Ducote’s vocals.

  • Ducote faces Luke

Dacote is performing Luke Combs’ ballad She Got the Best of Me.

He’s used to singing raucous country songs, so this soulful track is a change of pace for him.

  • Karen is washing Georgia Rain

Karen took the stage first for her rendition of Georgia Rain.

The seasoned Nashville artist took the stage in sparkly jeans and sky-high white cowgirl boots.

She’s exploring a past emotional relationship to connect with Trisha’s lyrics.

  • Team Dan + Shay takes the stage

Karen Waldrup and Ducote Talmage are the latest members of Team Dan + Shay to enter the Elimination Rounds.

Ducote is covering Luke Combs’ hit She Got the Best of Me.

Dan is excited for Ducote to show a more vulnerable side tonight.

Karen is singing Georgia Rain by Trisha Yearwood. She chose the song because of the narrative aspect of it. Karen can especially relate to the song because she was in a long-distance relationship when she moved to Nashville with someone from Georgia.

The relationship has finally ended, but Karen is drawing on those emotions for her performance tonight.
